If there is such a thing as a Hannah Montana musical, it will probably be along the lines of High School Musical and be designed for a touring show. I think Disney is acutely aware that the demographic for Hannah Montana is more limited than for their feature films.

A friend of mine told me that Aladdin is going to be on Broadway in 2011 and that an actor named Victor Souffrant something is playing Aladdin. He's a grad from Columbia University in Chicago.
Can't go wrong with Hunchback! Though, as much as I love Hercules I really can't see it ever becoming a stage musical. Of course, Monsters Inc. has enough potential to make it to the stage! I can already picture the "Put That Thing Back Where it Came From or So Help Me" number.
Nothing. Not unless they can pull another success like "Beauty and The Beast" and "The Lion King." Every Disney B'way show, other than those two, have been extremely terrible.
And to think, Beauty And The Beast could still be playing if someone didn't say, "How about we close that show and make something better like The Little Mermaid."
Is it too soon for a Beauty and the Beast revival?
kchenofan's computer is broken right now. This is her fridge. Now, you can leave a message, but say it slowly, so I can write it on a post-it note and stick it to myself.
How 'bout a break from Disney for a while. At least until they can come up with a workable idea that isn't rushed to the stage. Something tells me that won't happen, however.
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”
~ Muhammad Ali
I agree with all that say Hunchback, but would like to add Snow White. Write a few good love songs, a great villain song for the witch and the mirror, some goofy songs for the dwarfs, and a hot prince and I am so there.
Hunchback and Poco theoretically are great candidates; but I couldn't see much of a tourist pull. Dumbo is most definitely the wrong way to go. I think Emperors New Groove would be a good choice.
At the same time; I basically abhor anything Disney on Broadway...so nothing is also a good candidate. I was surprised TLM didn't do as it did; I thought it had ridiculous potential.
I think at this time everyone's trying too hard, and it shows. Webber, Disney...unoriginality runs rampant...and we can all tell.
