Bedknobs and Broomsticks II with Angela Lansbury as Eglantine Price 40 years later... um... she could be training her granddaughter how to fly the bed and they time travel and revisit all of Angela's old movie, TV and theatre characters... leading to a BOMBASTIC cakewalk finale written by Jerry Herman that includes a staircase, spoons, forks, and delicious Carol Channing cameo.

"A friend of mine told me that Aladdin is going to be on Broadway in 2011 and that an actor named Victor Souffrant something is playing Aladdin. He's a grad from Columbia University in Chicago."
Not trying to be mean, but there's no Columbia University in Chicago. It's Columbia College, and that's my school.
I personally think Hunchback would be pretty cool to see. Haven't heard the score that everyone is talking about, but i think the idea sounds like it could work.
Pocahontas! Seriously. If they just freaking hunkered down and figured out how to do the three or four tough parts of the staging, it could be freaking magnificent.
The second I get to New York, I'm going to figure it out if they haven't already.
Peter and the Star Catchers or Kingdom Keepers. Something outside of a Princess or movie remake and instead somewhat origional.
I immediately thought of Hunchback. And a revival of Beauty & the Beast would be lovely.

No one ever mentions Popeye. Sigh. (Although it was a joint Paramount/Disney production.)
Well, make of it what you will, but Disney Theatricals has registered a "slew of domain names" which provides a clue to at least what someone there is thinking of presenting on stage. Not all are "disney" movies - but ones that Disney must havfe the right to.

I am most interested in seeing, Aladdin, Hunchback of Notre Dame ( which I think they could do beautifully with the right crew, and directors etc.), Toy Story could work out great also. The biggest flops I can see are Freaky Friday, Father of the Bride, Flamingo Kid, and Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion (major flop in my opinion). I really hope they give Aladdin a go though!
There's only one Disney movie I want to see on Broadway:
The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
They should keep the ending they used in Berlin.
But not the staging, please. Blocks and projections get very boring very quickly.
How bout Last Tango In Paris
The musical.
Maybe they could exhume Marlon Brando's body from the grave?
or perhaps Nathan Lane will be avalable?

POCAHONTAS POCAHONTAS POCAHONTAS.
The only reason there afraid of it is because they want it to be a HUGE production. In my mind, if I were to stage a production of Pocahontas, it would be entirely impressionistic--no sets, minimal props, etc. Focus on the story.
And putting some crazy good choreographer in there like Graciella Daniele (who would be PERFECT) and a badass lighting designer could make the show exquisitely artistic without even building a single thing.
POCAHONTAS, for the love of all that is good!! That score is great and won an Oscar! They should've done this before MERMAID.
Bedknobs and Broomsticks with Victoria Clark as Eglantine, please.

Der Glockner von Notre Dame!
Newsies
Hunchback
Hercules
I saw Hercules a few years ago on Disney Cruise and absolutely loved it, would love to see them really adapt it for the Broadway stage
ALSO:
Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion (RomyAndMicheleOnTour.com)
YES YES YES
Am I the only one that LOVES this movie?
That show could be so fun.
My vote would definitely go to Hunchback or Aladdin...two of my favorite Disney movies, and I think either would work very well theatrically.
They hold the rights to Shakespeare in Love, which would make a fantastic musical.

Either Nemo---it's in Disney world right now but they can make it longer and with the right people this could be a good show
