Heading to the city in April- what are the Off Broadway shows to catch?
"Teeth" seems to be one to see also.
Dead Outlaw has been getting some good reviews as well.

Dead Outlaw for sure. Did JOB close? The Ally was tough to digest but flew by.
Dead outlaw is bore, TEETH is the best new musical in town.

Someone told me that show has SEXUAL CONTENT so I will be avoiding at all costs!
If you’re a fan of Jinkx Monsoon, then check out Little Shop of Horrors

Lol
The winners are TEETH, OH, MARY, and DEAD OUTLAW in my book.
The only downside is that the latter is the easiest to get tickets to and will be closing in the middle of the month (as opposed to the others)
LIFE AND SLIMES OF MARC SUMMERS is a cute and relatively inexpensive diversion if you’re a child of the 80s/90s

I second Life and Slimes if you want something fun and affordible
Haven't seen it here yet but The Effect was absolutely thrilling when I saw it in London last September. Couldn't recommend it enough and really hoping I have the chance to go again at The Shed!

TEETH is unfinished, overrated and not near as great as it should because of boring music, book and awkward direction - see reviews. DEAD OUTLAW has better music and direction .
Dead outlaw has no DRAMA. Theres no tension whatsoever. Musical of nothingness. I also liked The Effect, but it’s closing on Sunday. Teeth is a masterpiece.
Was excited to see Oh, Mary!... and was disappointed. As camp as I can be, this show just wasn't as funny or sharp to me as it apparently is to so many people. Elements I could admire, but it was a soufflé that didn't rise - for me.

One of the great performances of this season is being given in a church on East 16th Street. There are 70 seats.
Mr. Len Cariou in a beautiful production of Tuesdays with Morrie.
Attention must be paid,
Mr. Cariou is absolutely brilliant in the role. Probably his last on a NY Stage. It's very special. I think the last performance I enjoyed so much was Glenda Jackson in Three Tall Women.
There are still tickets available. It is running until April 20th I think,
I saw the original Sweeney Todd with Mr. Cariou. I am not sure why there is even a seat available for this run. Mr. Cariou is a Broadway legend giving a performance that is incredibly mesmerizing.
Sea Dog Theater
Jinkx Monsoon in Little Shop is a must see
I highly recommend Here We Are at the shed. It's the last time you'll be able to see a new Stephen Sondheim show so don't miss the opportunity!
