$101 plus the charges from Telecharge online booking for "Nine -The Musical". It was absolutely worth it as my favorite actress was in it!! Updated On: 1/23/06 at 01:16 PM
I think it was over 200 per seat for Spamalot in the summer. I only pay 100 or more if in NYC, but yes, I am all for the discounts.

I've attended plenty of black tie kind of events for $150 or $175 but not related to theatre.
For a theatrical performance (for myself) the most I have spent is fifty or sixty-some dollars. I've bought theatre tickets on behalf of others for $90.
$190 (each) for Wicked tickets (through a scalper ticket site). They were really good orhestra seats (not Premium level, but still, very good). It was a bridal shower/birthday present for 2 friends who came to visit me in NYC. Both were DYING to see Wicked, so I splurged, and treated them. It was worth it.
My mom paid something like $101 a piece for the second week of Wicked in Chicago. But my aunt just got 6th row center tickets to Odd Couple in March (when I'm there on Spring Break) and she dropped something like $215 or so a piece through her theatre group. Also when we see Sutton at Feinstein's it'll be at least $115 a piece because of cover and minimum food purchase. I'd never be able to see all the stuff I do without her. Planning on utilizing rush/SRO for a few shows.
Ouch. All of these posts make my wallet cry. The most I've ever paid for a ticket to a B'way show is $45 for Taboo way back when, and the only shows I've yet to see on B'way are The Pajama Game, Tarzan and The Color Purple. Oh, and I've seen Wicked 4 times and never paid more than $25. Just thought I'd put that in there.
There are some people in the world who say that writing stories, or composing music or dancing sparkly dances is easy for them. Nothing interferes with their ability to create. While I celebrate their creative freedom, a little part of me just wants to punch those motherf*ckers in the teeth...[tos]
I paid $500 for a premium seat for the final 3 hour segement of the Wall-to-Wall Sondheim celebration. By the time I got around to getting a seat, the $250 seats were gone. The concert was worth every penny...
"It does what a musical is supposed to do; it takes you to another world. And it gives you a little tune to carry in your head. Something to take you away from the dreary horrors of the real world. A little something for when you're feeling blue. You know?"
"I never had theatre producers run after me. Some people want to make more Broadway shows out of movies. But Elliot and I aren't going to do Batman: The Musical." - Julie Taymor 1999
