I've been obsessed with Sweeney Todd since I saw it in Orlando about a month ago. It was absolutely amazing...I love the lyrics, the darkness, the everything.
I'm also still obsessed with RENT. No matter how much my friends loathe the musical, sorry, I love it.
The 1974 Broadway production of "Over Here!". Can't stop listening to it on my iPod (in the car, at home, at work). And that damn archival video never stops playing in the background at home.
Yeah, I love Bat Boy right now! I've also been totally loving Dirty Rotten Scoundrels for quite a while now. I must admit, though, right now I don't have one major obsession. I'm kind of in the moderate place where I listen to a pretty wide variety of stuff. Of course, that should end soon :) Some of my biggest phases were Urinetown, Wicked, and Avenue Q
Lately I can't seem to get enough of [Title of show] and Into the Woods. The dialogue on the [title of show] cast recording just cracks me up every time.
"I'm tellin' you, the only times I really feel the presence of God are when I'm having sex and during a great Broadway musical." - Nathan Lane - Jeffrey
"It's a great feeling of power to be naked in front of people. We're happy to watch actual incredible graphic violence and gore, but as soon as somebody's naked it seems like the public goes a bit bananas about the whole thing."
"Dont look at me that way
Your ears and your eyes
Got used to the lies
But you're getting the truth today"
"Ah the city. So many lights you can actually pretend one of them is shining on you."
CLIFF: "There was a cabaret and there was a master of ceremonies and there was a city called Berlin in a country called Germany - and it was the end of the world and I was dancing with Sally Bowles - and we were both fast asleep"
