I saw on tumblr someone got a signed playbill back from Idina. They said it took 3 weeks, but didn't say if they donated, if they asked for it, etc etc etc.
Was it cast signed or just Idina. If it was just Idina I would assume that it would be only from her, and not a request to the stage management (who normally request the donations).
I've seen people on various sites say that if you write directly to her and specffically ask of a playbill signed by the cast, she will send one with no request of a donation.
I hate to be a debbie downer but im pretty sure its to late.
maxkko-
I sent awhile ago as well but I included a You're a Good Man Charlie Brown playbill asking if she could get Anthony Rapp to sign it. And I sent it right before he went on leave for his injury, so I am hoping she is just waiting for him to come back before sending it back to me.
I just got a response from Kinky Boots! I sent it awhile ago, maybe going on a month. But they sent me a signed cast playbill with literally everyone! I can't make oit some of the signatures but I'm so happy with it!!!
The cast of Kinky Boots have always been great to fans since the beginning. Last year i sent a photo in and got it signed by the whole cast. Also doing the stage door for that show is always fun as the cast could not be nicer people.
- I totally get not being able to make out some people's sigs- some of them look nothing like whose they are supposed to be. LOL
^ You can send your playbill for them to sign, but a lot of times when I have sent my playbill to a show for the cast to sign, i get a current playbill back signed instead (Ex:Follies - Even though it was just a month before)- So you probably don't have to.
I wanted to send some fanmail to Aaron Tveit but I noticed the address is at the Spanky Taylor, which is known for doing autopens and preprints. Do you think Aaron signs authentically from this address? Has anyone sent to him recently?
Yesterday I got my signed Playbill and a lovely note from Priscilla Lopez. My daughter and I saw her final Wednesday matinee performance in Pippin. She didn't come out to sign at stage door so I decided to mail my Playbill to her. I knew I was taking a chance sending it so close to when she was leaving the show. I'm glad that it arrived in time and I'm thrilled that she was kind enough to sign the Playbill and also include a personal note.
Victoria Clark is the best with fanmail! She sent me back a signed playbill of Cinderella with the whole original cast and a personal message from her inside, and she lost the return address envelope I sent, so looked me up online and saw I play high school sports and sent it to my high school! It was really sweet!
Received a nice note and signed Pride Les Mis from Caissie Levy today. So far from the 5 requests I sent out back in July I've received 3 playbills back and 2 are Pride Playbills. Great success!
I just got a signed playbill from You Can't Take It With You. It is the first one I have gotten back from the new Broadway season and it is my first play, not musical, that I have written to and gotten a response back. I wrote to it because it has Annaleigh Ashford in it and I really like the artwork on the playbill. BTW, has anyone heard anything from the other plays currently in previews?
I have read for awhile how awesome Victoria Clark is with fan mail, but she seriously blew me away today. I sent to her no more than a week and a half ago, got a reply today. She signed the fallowing for me:
- H2$ Playbill - Cinderella OBC Playbill - Sister Act Playbill - H2$ CD Cover - Titanic CD Cover
In my letter I asked her if possible, if I could have a signed proshot of her as Marie. I did not think she would have any but she sent me a nice 4x6 signed. But here's the weird part, there is a short note from someone to Victoria on the back. It says this someone is from Puerto Rico... strange. So some how I ended up with someone else's photo that they had sent her. Very happy about this reply! Thanks a bunch Victoria!
