Posted: 11/6/18 at 12:12amThrow me in the camp that is not impressed by AJC- I thought she sang the part the worst I’ve ever heard it and I saw her with Jackie who admittedly is a powerhouse, but she seemed to be trying to do her best Cheno impression, but without the notes. I don’t understand the call out Katie comments about Clark- everytime I’ve seen the show with her as Glinda she was there at that was 3 times during three different stints- she was pregnant in Saigon not Wicked just to clarify. I’m sad we never got to see Tess Soltau full time as Glinda she was fab when I saw her on for Kara Lindsay- who actually it took me three tries to finally see- Tiffany Haas was the other standby and she was also not my favorite. Isabel Keating truly has it all for me- usually the Morribles have the acting but lose the singing, she was the first I saw other then Sheryl Lee who was altogether different in the best way possible, who had it all! I plan to see Vosk and company soon, but I would wait to see Katie Rose if that turns out to be the truth. How has no one commented on if Ali Ewoldt can see the humor? I’m skeptical.

I don’t know how to post a workable link, but Taylor Iman Jones posted this video of her singing a part of The Wizard and I. I would highkey love for her to be Elphaba.

So KRC comes in January? I'll miss her by one month!
I hope WIcked takes the upcoming tour cast-change (after the SLC stop) as an opportunity to really freshen up with a new Fiyero, Glinda, Nessa, Elphaba and maybe Boq.

Yes, her Instagram bio says "Retired Elphaba" and I think she made a post toking about "Elphie retirement", but she's stated in multiple interviews that she would love to go to Broadway. I personally would love to see her and Ginna Claire Mason after Vosk/whoever is probably coming in to replace AJC soon.

I feel like “Retired Elphaba” is a joke. I doubt she would turn down the chance to go to Broadway.

I wouldn't be surprised if she was "retired Elphaba". she was out a lot over the last few tour stops, or only doing the night verses matinees.

Having worked with Ali in settings meant to be humorous (and watching her Instagram Stories), she has more than enough sense of humor, in my opinion.

I’m pretty sure MK was only out on Sunday matinees, and she was sick a week or two before her last show.
I would love it if she was Elphie on Broadway eventually, maybe as a standby. I know she said she’s a “retired Elphaba,” but people can come out of retirement.

Nancy Opel, Jamie Jackson and Jesse JP Johnson join the cast as Morrible, Dr Dillamond and Boq in the upcoming weeks. Nancy and Jamie on Nov 20th and Jesse on Dec 11th.

I think just speculation, unless anyone has heard anything new. I've also heard (outside of this thread) Ali Ewoldt could be a possibility? Cooper is leaving in December, I'm pretty sure.
