They said it's coming to broadway this season and since the perfect sized theater just opened up, it's the obvious choice, right?
I would love that actually! Have I fallen into some kind of trap?
From your mouth to God's ear, Jordan.
Perhaps Heathers will take the Helen Hayes?
Yes, yes it will.

Unless Heathers (or any other show) has had its Broadway set built in secret and has cast whatever replacements and additional actors it requires plus raised its money, it wouldn't be ready.
If a show isn't on its feet somewhere by now, it won't be ready in time for the spring season.
Didn't they say that they hoped to bring it to Broadway in 2016?
My sources tell me It's playing 4 performances here and 4 at the Helen Hayes a week
Lol
But wouldn't this conflict with the movie musical of HEATHERS that is 100% sure going to happen? Or is it a multi-platform release, Broadway, movie theaters, TV?
I think having it open on Broadway AND as a movie simultaneously is a terrible idea, but eh.
Well fortunately for you, neither of them are happening!

They already had that amazing set, that was very portable... I think most of it was on wheels, no?

Most of it should have been in the trash, wheels or not.

Interesting that they're still considering Broadway when the licensing rights are available: https://www.broadwayworld.com/article/HEATHERS-THE-MUSICAL-Now-Available-for-Licensing-Through-Samuel-French-20141210
No, they're not "considering" it, they PROMISED it to us.
Shouldn't they take the Winter Garden? I mean, to accommodate ALL those fans.

Well, if they PROMISED in all caps, it has to be true. lol
Well, Jordan, Dionne Warwick has this response -

I enjoyed the off-Broadway performance - not nearly as much as I ADORE the movie - but I would say the set design was the worst part. It was drab, cheap, and served no function for the story. If indeed the show does go to Broadway, it would be nice to see the set completely redesigned.
I think they'd need to scale down the set a lot in order for it to work on broadway.
Do you mean they'd have to perform it without sets or costumes (a truly naked stage in all respects) - and add a dog - for it to work on Broadway?

Long time fans here. Your posts have always brought the lolz. We used to read them during the run. You know, when our show was running. But, we've gotta ask:
