What do you think it is?

I hate to say it but I absolutely HATE "Sentimental Man" from Wicked. Seriously, it is terrible!

What do you think?

A little known fact is that in the original screenplay, Pan's Labyrinth was Pan's FLAByrinth. Hmmmmmmm...glad they changed it.

I actually like Sentimental Man. No, a witch doesn't scream out the last note, but it won't mean it's a bad song.

Now, Something Bad, on the other hand...

Any song from the second worst "Best Musical" EVER...

SUNSET BOULEVARD.

(And in case you're wondering why I didn't choose a song from the #1 WORST Best Musical ever is that there were no original songs in it ... CONTACT.)

I'd also have to say "Who Could Ever Have Dreamed Up You" from Maury Yeston's PHANTOM. This song, of course couldn't really count because the show (sadly) never made it to Broadway due to the largely inferior ALW version (and other extenuating circumstances). This song is the only clinker in an otherwise terrific score.

Itty Bitty Geisha? Toyland? Gypsy Pasadoble? Just a few popular favorites...

Of otherwise good musicals- Little Lamb. I hate that song.

Hey, if we're talking truly *ever*, there's a lot to work with. The Flower Waltz from The Black Pirate is incredibly tedious, basically three chords repeated over and over and over. We;ve got a hundred years of history to play with, so let's start thinking outside the usual BBW.com box. Let's hear the real stinkers, huh?

I third Little Lamb. Not only is it a waste of a song, but it's boring and has no relevence to the plot of the show it's from.

Oh, so, so many...

'Sentimental Man'

Most of South Pacific (used to like it, but now I realise it's muck)

'Turning' (I love Les Mis, hate that)

'Whistle a Happy Tune' (I like The K&I, but that one's annoying)

'New Deal for Christmas' & 'Annie' from Annie

'Big Dog' from The Color Purple (Just Plain Annoying)

I could think of many more.

I completely disagree with 'Bui Doi's nomination. Not that bad at all.

The rain we knew is a thing of the past -
deep-delving, dark, deliberate you would say
browsing on spire and bogland; but today
our sky-blue slates are steaming in the sun,
our yachts tinkling and dancing in the bay
like racehorses. We contemplate at last
shining windows, a future forbidden to no one.

What i said was horrible and needed to be removed!

Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

Wow, I'm shocked "Murder, Murder" wasn't here already.

For me, probably anything in "Oklahoma!" or "Footloose"...I'm also not a huge fan of "Don't Cry For Me Argentina."

haha - I only like the beginning of "Footloose" - it goes downhill from there.

I second anything from 1776

I do not remeber the title but it was a little ditty from Ari (musical Exodus) that tried to do nothing with its lyrics but rhyme flower names. Ugh

OK I have to defnd 1776. There is not a weak song in the score-- top notch from start to finish. I just don't understnad why people can't appreciate the glory of that Tony-award winning musical!
