Tell us you are a racist without actually saying you are a racist?

"What's his name" is Jay-Z and he's one of the most famous people on the planet.
"

Nothing about this comment was racist. Stop making charges like that when it is not reality.

Fantastic win. But that whole category was terrific. Gelb and Peckina especially.

Loved that Will Brill had the cast of Stereophonic stand to be recognized. I still say they make the best case for a best ensemble Tony award.

Was the first part of the HK number lip synced? In a few shots the ensemble timing seemed to be off, and the plastic tub drummers didn’t match the track at all.

I get it!

They're trying for people to not see their shows by performing awful and boring numbers..

Maybe something in the new venue makes the sound mix come off flat?

The sound issues are so annoying.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

They’re filming way too close up for TOMMY and the camera won’t stop moving for a number that’s too kinetic to begin with. So far the entire telecast seems off

Anybody else unable to hear the singers that well in all these performances? Trying to figure out if my sound is messed up or if the telecast is weird.

The filming of the music numbers completely loses the scope and scale of being on stage. Too many intrusive camera close-ups and zooms. I'm disappointed.

Yeah… the more I think about it, the opening number was really lackluster.

and… who the hell does wigs on HK? Shoshana’s wig is a hot mess!!

I think I remember hearing only soloists are mic’d for the Tony’s and the ensemble is always a track. The drum sounds were definitely on a track.

I think the Tonys are always plagued with sound problems. It’s a real issue for a show whose main draw is musical performances.

The opening number was really weird.  It didn't sound or look "Broadway" at all.

In Hell's Kitchen, I'm pretty sure the actors drumming on stage aren't actually drumming.  It was weird they did a close-up there to emphasize that the drumming sound was coming from someplace else.

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys haven't performed that song together for probably 13 or 14 years.  That part was fantastic and sold a lot of tickets, but the audience members will be completely confused when they show up and neither Alicia Keys nor Jay-Z is there (nor is Jay-Z's part in the show at all).

The Who's Tommy also sold tickets based on Pete Townshend, but he's not in the show, either.

I think Will Brill is a fantastic actor.  He deserved a Tony nomination for Oklahoma, and he gave a truly incredible performance in A Case for the Existence of God.  But he did not deserve to win for his nothing role in Stereophonic.  He does the best he can, but the part is very one-note.

"What was the name of that cheese that I like?" "you can't run away forever...but there's nothing wrong with getting a good head start" "well I hope and I pray, that maybe someday, you'll walk in the room with my heart"

I really enjoyed Hells Kitchen on Broadway.  I don't get all the hate here.  It was an entertaining show.  I also enjoyed Suffs and am glad it won for Best Book.

I think it's a euphemism for passing away.

That her great-grandmother came and saw the show two weeks before she "transitioned."  I assume she's using that as a euphemism for death.
