The King and I ('96 revival with Donna Murphy) was my first Broadway show and my first tour was Grease, also sometime that year, in Providence, RI.

Tour [1978]:

Chicago (Verdon/Rivera)

Broadway [1979]:

(two-show day)

Evita (LuPone/Patinkin)

Sweeney Todd (Lansbury/Cariou)

I was too young to fully understand any of these shows, but their impact was nonetheless life-altering.

The first show I ever saw was the original production of RAGTIME, and on the same trip I also saw a few other shows including the OBC of Lion King, the Cumming/Richardson Cabaret, Phantom, Rent, and Beauty & The Beast.

I suppose I will be dating myself but I saw the original Chicago with Gwen Verdon, Chita Rivera and Jerry Orbach.  Needless to say, I was hooked from that point on.

Fiddler on the Roof….in '70, I believe.   I was pretty young.   Our parents took us in to  visit the city from my grandparents in Connecticut.

Oh my gosh, this is a delightful thread!

My first Broadway show was May or June of 1998. The commercial transfer of Roundabout's 1776 revival. Gershwin Theatre. I was in 5th grade, I remember sitting separate from my classmates, with my mother, down at the front of the house. I, sadly, can't remember much of the show itself -- but, that curtain call? Oh, my. My mother turned to me and said, "Michael, look." and I made eye contact with Michael McCormack (John Adams), smiling down at me. I'll never forget that moment.

(My first straight play was TALK RAD!O. Wednesday, March 7, 2007. Front row center for the matinee at the Longacre. It was absolutely, positively thrilling!)

Not sure but either Runaways or On the Twentieth Century. I was a bit jet-lagged at the time.

On Tour: COMPANY (1970) with George Chakaris and Julie Wilson

On Broadway: A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC (July 1974, twice including the closing performance) the original cast was still performing with the exception of Len Cariou who had been replaced by William Daniels.

Beauty and the Beast in the very early 2000s. However I left early cuz I was so scared.  I was maybe four of five and I hated loud noises and it was just so scary.  When Belle's father's invention broke in the beginning and it explodes, I LOST IT!  Cried the whole time.  So the first full show I've seen was Matilda in 2013.  It took me a while to get over my fear of loud noises lol
