Michael Paulson is confirming Wolfe, Alexander Gemignani and Margaret Colin at the Imperial. Previews beginning 2/28/18. Opening night 4/12 (super long preview period).

Meh.
I like Betsy but I bet I could come up with 20 more interesting choices for the role. Excited to see Alex Gemignani as Enoch though. And I've been ecstatic about Josh Henry since day 1 (actually since before then, because by a crazy coincidence, I dreamcast him as Billy Bigelow about 2 weeks before his casting was announced).

Very excited to hear Jonathan Tunick's new orchestrations for this (though I think the originals are perfection) -- and I assume the large Imperial means we'll hear plenty of strings.

I'm assuming it'll take a while for them to put the Imperial back as a theater. So no way something pops in there for the holidays.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

If I'm not mistaken, Mimi lien said they can take down the set within a day. So, I think it is possible for a show to make its way for the holiday season.

I'd imagine it doesn't take too long to take it all down, but it'll take quite a bit of time to put a proscenium theatre back together again.

I wouldn't bet on that-Great Comet started previews 6 weeks after Les Mis closed last year, subtract 2 weeks for tech with cast on stage, which puts total load in + focus/dry tech process at about a month. Load outs generally take 1/4 to 1/2 the load in time, assume the higher end, since they need to do a bit more restore than normal. That should have the imperial restored, ready for a new show in about 2 weeks.

Oh yeah, Enoch is emotionally abusive to Carrie. We get to see that Billy is scary, coarse and physically abusive, but we also see Enoch who is kind, sweet, but controlling and manipulative. I think this is shown in the PBS concert, hopefully they play it up for this new revival.

That is a blindingly white principal cast for a production with an African-American actor playing Billy Bigelow.
What a disappointment.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
