Wow, what a cast! Not sure Gooding Jr. has got what it takes, but Tyson, Rashad and Williams will be electric together, this will be an event.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
this will certainly become a hot ticket show this spring. how soon before they extend??
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
The Sondheim actually isn't that big of a theatre. It's smaller than the Schoenfeld, the Longacre, the Barrymore, the Jacobs, and the Cort, all of which often (and some primarily) house plays.
Williams is a brilliant idea. And she was wise to accept it. This could be quite wonderful. Wouldn't miss this. Cuba is a wild card, but in a way, thrilling. He's such an emotionally accessible actor, he could be a revelation here.

All I need is for this cast to be still playing in Dec 2013 around Christmas week.
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

Hard to believe the original Broadway production only ran 39 performances, even with Lillian Gish (Carrie Watts), Jo Van Fleet (Jessie Mae), Gene Lyons (Ludie), and Eva Marie Saint (Thelma).
I love the movie, and surprisingly it's one I can watch repeatedly and still find as much if not more to love about it, primarily Geraldine Page's brilliant, Oscar-winning performance as Carrie. (No, I don't think Whoopi Goldberg was "robbed" for The Color Purple, particularly after seeing Page's perfect performance in this film.)
I really liked the rest of the film cast: Carlin Glynn (Jessie Mae), John Heard (Ludie), and Rebecca De Mornay (Thelma). They're all fine in their roles.
I think this new revival's cast sounds terrific, and I think Cuba will be great as Ludie. He's kind of a henpecked husband for most of it, and the "showy" supporting role is really Jessie Mae (Vanessa). Ludie serves more as a sounding board for Carrie, and he tries to be "understanding husband" for the most part.
This is one of my favorite "smaller" pieces as a film and as a story.

I just stumbled upon the fact that tickets quietly went on sale to American Express cardholders. The pre-sale lasts until January 30th. Even though I had signed up on the show's Web site for advanced ticket sale information, I received no notification.

Their website has listed the American Express presale for a while, at least every time I looked at it, and they posted this on their Facebook page today:
I don't know why they didn't email you, but they didn't exactly hide the information.
