So glad this is actually happening! I loved the show on Broadway - it was seriously so much fun.
I loved this on Broadway, but can’t imagine it working without Block and Diamond. Hope I’m surprised, though! It is great fun.
Will this be a replica of the broadway design or a new version similar to the UK tour? It’s using promotional material from the Broadway production, so I’m assuming it’s, at least, equity.
Rachel York as Star casting gods please and thank you.

Around the 2:00 mark she does Cher and it’s simply divine. I could only imagine how she would sound singing the actual score.

The tour will be non-union, but will have the Bob Mackie costumes from Broadway.

It's Non-Union, don't expect any names.
Any word on casting or when the tour is actually starting?

Re the tour promo: Please Goddess ... NO.
The tour isn't beginning until Nov. 19, but according to a recent casting notice, they still haven't cast any of the lead roles yet. Rehearsals are set to begin in mid-October. Big League is producing the tour.
Their website has footage of the actual tour production with the LED screens they use in a lot of their shows. It looks like this production has already been mounted somewhere.
Does anyone know where it’s from?
I believe the promo videos were shot with the Big League cast and set of the recent Legally Blonde tour
This specific production has not been mounted anywhere yet, I believe they just used The recent legally blonde tours(which was also produced by big league productions) set and borrowed a couple of the actors from that show too for the promo art.
I would not be shocked if they use those cheap screens. I don't know what's happened to Big League, but it's embarrassing.
Those promo pics and video makes the show look like a tribute act in Gran Canaria.
The design on Broadway was pretty bad anyway. I'm sure this show will be done as cheap as possible. And they're still struggling to find the leads.
The tour is coming to my local theater. I loved the Broadway production, but fear this is going to be an incredibly cheap looking show. At least they'll have the Bob Mackie costumes.
I'm a Stephanie Blockhead through and through. I never thought Cher had any talent or was interesting at all. I'm very happy that this angel of music won a Tony she deserved long ago and who should have been the original Elphaba. My wife saw this and said she was amazing, and I remembered all the great musicals she has been in. Keep it going angel of music.

Wow, what a way to bump this thread not to actually say something of substance but to verbalize your stupid ass opinion about Cher. Congrats on the courage, I guess...

Looks like @cherontour is the Instagram account for the tour, not the account from the original broadway production...

Cher...the world-famous multi-million selling recording artist and icon, Oscar-winning actress...doesn't have talent...
