Ok, before my history of musical theater professor pointed out to me i didnt have a clue, but the caligraphy in the logo isnt just some random strokes, it is a drawing of the hellicopter and kim's face! Now i know some of you might have known this all along, but am i the only one who never noticed this?
I always saw the helicopter, but I just now noticed the face. Very interesting.
well ,I always saw the helicopter, but a face? I don't see it....

i always saw the helicopter, just noticed her face though (took me a minute)
I always saw the face but never got the helicopter part, i thought it was her hair. very well done logo.
someone help me out and tell me where the face is....
I knew about this for a long time, but i just noticed that the eyes for the Cat logo are people dancing.

do you see the eye on the right under that top long stroke that is the spinnything at the top of the helicopter? (like my technical terminology?)
Hah,
I've always seen the face, but not the helicopter. But now I see it.

Ive always noticed the helicopter but never the face. Sometimes the coloring of the playbills sort of detracts from it being a face and moreso on the helicopter. Wasnt he the sun though and she the moon? just being picky I guess but this is such a perfectly done logo, one of the best
I CANNOT believe that some people could not tell it is a helicopter. When I first opened the thread I thought everyone was going to say "just noticed the face". But "just noticed the helicopter"!? Oh well...you know what they say about assuming...
I spotted the face early on. I didn't notice the helicopter at first...then one day, I just happened to glance at a poster for it quite at random...and it just (no pun intended) flew out at me.
OK, I feel so ignorant. I never spent too much time looking at it because I always assumed it was some sort of symbol in the Vietnamese language. I see it all now, big revelation.
Very interesting re the face. I now see it
I remember years ago I saw the helicopter right away. That part was obvious, but the face had to be pointed out to me.
Never saw the hellicopter, but I always saw the face, and I think it was being crossed out, like Kim was not complete yet.

HOW do you not see the helicopter???? I saw both the very first time I saw the logo. Miss Saigon is probably my second favorite show (behind Hairspray...which I've now gone 8 days without seeing!!!).

i've always seen the face, but thought the overall picture was just some oriental symbol or something...it wasn't until i saw the show that i realized it was a helicopter.

I never saw either until the tour a few months ago when the guy selling the merchandise pointed it out to me on a mug.
Are you guys serious?
I can not believe that people have not noticed this before, can kind of understand why someone might not see the face, but surely the helicopter is so blatant?
This logo isnt new is it?
I had also thought it was a Vietnamese symbol....how artistically done.
