Well as you know, very talented people are very sensitive to the environments they work in. Christine was merely trying to Lupown the lighting guy.
I mean, if they had the audio-recording of when Patty was on the phone with Bank of America, I would love to hear that drama.
That's disgusting. I wish the director wouldn't have coddled him and let him get away with that. They should have said yeah you're off my set until you can get control of yourself. They should have stuck up for their crew, even if the guy did make a mistake. Does he do this to his co-stars if they flub a line? Wow...very disappointing. I don't care how much talent he has, that's never necessary. Maybe if he gets canned from a job he'd think about it. Probably not, because it seems like he's too egotistical and obviously that would cost the studio a ton of money...but damn that's ridiculous.

I have long loved Christian Bale's work, but... frankly, I'm not sure I'd ever want to be alone in a room with him. He always struck me as VERY dedicated to his art, and the reports we've been getting the last few months indicate that it is to the detriment of basic humanity.
Okay, I *would* want to be alone in a room with him, but only if he were in a certain mood. *ahem*
"Okay, I *would* want to be alone in a room with him, but only if he were in a certain mood. *ahem*"
Amen amen! LOL
Now I see why he was arrested for going off on his mom and sister, too. His mom...and sister. Like that. Dude needs some meds, but you know he won't take them, cause it would inhibit his abilities as an actor. But wowza.
He is hot and the accent is sexy, but the arrongance isn't, to me anyway.
He should have let him go on for a few moments, then touched Bale's nose and gone "Boop!"
I am not a coke whore! I am a method actor.
Christian Bale could yell at me any day. I would take it with a smile!

That was directed to the DP, where was the director in all of this? I'm trying to think what I'd do if I was on that set. If I was the DP, I'd let him hit me so I could sue him big-time. Press criminal and civil charges. Walking into a set is not a crime, assault is. If I was the director, I'd take Bale aside and have him work with me privately in a side-room. I mean.. I'd have a talk with him.
The problem, it was a Hollywood film where so much money is involved a star can act like a pr-ick and get away with it.
I'd be very hesitant to cast him in a film. Another case for independent films. Hollywood films are in the 100 million dollar range now, with a huge infrastructure to support, so it's really all about bringing in box office, not art.
The problem with handling people like this is that he was pretty much BEGGED to do this role. They really wanted him from an early point and he turned it down until they got the script to a point he was okay with. (He wanted more interesting character material for John Connor, understandable for an actor of his capabilities.) So what can you do? You can't fire him. You've spent too much money getting him on the project. Let's be honest: the producers would fire the director before they would get rid of Bale. So Bale has an INCREDIBLY long leash in terms of the **** he can pull. He's obviously got some anger issues. Yeah, apparently this was the second time the DP had ruined a take and he apparently wasn't all too apologetic, which would probably piss me off a bit too, but I doubt I'd totally flip out like Bale did.
This whole thing bespeaks of his arrogance but also, IMO, of an almost unsettling intensity in his acting. I think he's just so committed to his performances that he can't handle anything getting in the way of that.
And really...if he flips out this much over something like this, who wants to be the one to step in and tell him to calm down? It's funny to listen to, but I bet it was pretty scary in person.

Good points, Taryn.
Just remind me to never marry him. XD People like this are often shambles in their personal lives.
I remember the first time this happened.
YAY!! Revolucian does it again! And in record time!
And listen for the "cameo" from his first classic outburst re-mix

oh marc, you just came back because you heard we were talking about your balls.
SHUT UP IF YOU CAN'T TAKE A JOKE!
Good thing it's a movie they're working on and not a serial tv show. Imagine dealing with THAT week after week for 9-10 months.
No matter how long his leash, his behavior will catch up to him. No one will 'beg' for him so much after this.
Christian and Jeremy Piven need therapy.
they'll beg him for Batman 3.
He must think he is a god after TDK's success.
But you're right, karma is a boomerang.
I blame it on the mole. For the sake of your sanity, Christian, please have it removed!

They could write a killing of the character into the script.
I've actually heard of this happening in real ER operating rooms, with doctors throwing charts and medical instruments at nurses.

I feel the same way about the wart thingy on Ewan McGregor's forehead. It reminds me of that boy from Fairly Odd Parents who likes to talk to his boil.
:- Man. I really like him, too.
And... Ewan McGregor got his mole removed recently.
