Has anyone cried when watching a movie or tv show and an actor on that program was deceased? Today when I was watching glee I just started to bawl my eyes out. I just couldn't bare the fact that Corey monteith is dead and has been for over 2 years. It sounds so silly, but I was super emotional when the episode where he sings to the baby came up. I just feel so bad that Corey never got 1) finish glee like it was originally written and 2) have a full career.

No.
No but I did laugh at you because of that story.

I'll admit it, I do tend to tear up now when watching Robin Williams on screen. Particularly if it's one of his films that tend to tug at the heartstrings anyway...
Elaine Stritch is one for me. I've cried about her death several times, and was devastated when I first heard the news.
No, but I still cry when I see Adam Sandler.

I can stand by this.
Yes, I've had a long life so there have been many tears, lol ...
Musicians, too. Karen Carpenter and Carl Wilson, the loss of those voices.
The only time I ever cried over a celebrity death was when the plane crash killed Richie Valens. I was around 12, I think.
The only one I cried for was Shirley Temple, but I feel sad and mourn the loss of many.

Elaine Stritch is the only one I've cried about.
I cried (a lot) when Wes Craven died a few months ago. He was my idol and i still can't believe he's gone.
I don't cry, but I'll find myself letting out a 'sigh' when seeing or hearing someone's recording after they are deceased.
It's a good reminder of how short life is though and to appreciate other great artists who are still with us even more.
The SNL 40th anniversary made me miss Gilda Radner. And I also feel sad when watching a favorite rerun of Three's Company because of John Ritter.
Peter Allen....buckets.
SL......x[for Peter]
The one celebrity death that hit me really hard was Natalie Wood. I was 13. I remember it so vividly and even to this day I watch one of her films and it saddens me because I can't help but to think what if she had lived.
Just got to the episode "the quarterback" and oh my god. I just can't believe how well those actors held up.
That Lea Michelle, she's a trooper.
I feel awful about Leonard Nimoy's death. I feel like I knew him personally. Others that make me feel terrible: Christopher Reeve, Dana Reeve, Robin Williams, Cory Monteith, Rob Guest,what's-his-name who played Uncle Vernon in the HP movies, Geoffrey Holder, and Kevin Gray. I'm very much still haunted by the death of Kyle Jean-Baptiste -- a kid the age of my son -- who was just getting started and whose path to the future seemed to be brightly lit.
On a MUCH lighter note, I felt sad about the passing of Charles Dance, until I found out that he is still alive and working as an actor -- somehow, I mixed him up with Byron Nease. Also, I was happily surprised to find out that Victor Garber is very much with us. Perhaps I mixed him up with Matthew Garber.

I am with Broadway Benny. I do not cry but do feel bad when they pass on.
I don't get too emotional when a celeb passes away. Maybe a little sad at first. They will always live on through their work. One of the benefits of being an actor or musician, writer or artist.

Ah yes. I'll never forget when "what's-his-name" died either. I what-do-you-call-it'd for at least a week until I heard that what-cha-ma-call-it pulled a whoop-si-daisy!

Thought this article was succinct and nicely written, and a good fit for this thread.
