My current fav: "Get What You Give" by the New Radicals
Interesting fact: Keyboardist for the New Radicals was none other than Danielle Brisbois aka Little Stephanie from Archie Bunker's Place and Molly in the original production of Annie!!
New Radicals called it quits when the lead singer decided to quit music altogether right as "Get What You Give" hit big. I'm not sure they even put out another single.
Can't go wrong with 'Too Shy' by Kajagoogoo.
I'd pick 'On the Metro' by Berlin, which is the greatest song of the eighties, as far as I'm concerned, but then Berlin went and had a second hit.
I remember that thread.
Into The Night by Benny Mardones is one of my favs.
Just remembered Stay Awhile by The Bells. I loved that song.

Puppies are babies in fur coats.
Tinfoil...The Terrorizing Terminator
"I've Been to Paradise, But I've Never Been to Me"
Is that the correct title?
That was by Charlene - one of my favorite songs ever!

I just made a 4 CD set of 80's tunes, for a friend in London, and was going through tons of songs to pick what went onto the CDs. I have concluded that 99 LUFTBALLOONS is the worst song ever recorded! I kind of like BREAK MY STRIDE by Matthew Wilder and the aforementioned TOO SHY by Kajagoogoo. Lots of others from the 60's and 70's and 80's!

Whenever I think of one-hit wonders, I always go to Chumbawumba and that song Tubthumping. That song was so damn catchy.

Isn't it great when you haven't heard a song in years, and suddenly you hear it and it brings back all sorts of memories. That happened to me the other day. I heard the song "Mary's Prayer".
For those of you alive in the 1980's, sing along with me:
So if I say save me save me Be the light in my eyes And if I say ten Hail Mary's Leave a light on heaven for me
"Whoever sang the "Puff the Magic Dragon" song."
Please say you're kidding. Peter, Paul and Mary were not one-hit wonders!
"Bittersweet Symphony" by The Verve. I think they sampled someone else's song without permission, so they were sued and the band broke up, but I still love that song.
i agree orangeskitles. The verc's bitter sweet symphony is a great song. but i think i have to choose stay by lisa loeb. I love that song!
I'm too sexy, Right Said Fred

Does "And I am Telling You I'm Not Going" sung by the divine Jennifer Holliday count?
"Come on Eileen" by Dexi's Midnight Runners... I love that song Beaverhausen.

"MacArthur Park" by Richard Harris
Did he ever have another hit song?
"Beach Baby" by The First Class
Don McLean had another hit with Vincent
The Verve had more than one hit! (in the UK, at least)
I chose "Millenium" by Robbie Williams (who's also only a one-hit wonder in the U.S.)
Robbie Williams is not a one-hit wonder in the USA. He had "Rock DJ".
(P.S. I hated Millenium. It makes me seasick. Same for "Beautiful Day" by U2)
For the moment, I'm going with...
"Show Me Love" ~ Robyn
"More Than Words" ~ Extreme
"I Love You, Always Forever" ~ Donna Lewis
"Dance with Me" ~ Debelah Morgan
(please correct me if I'm wrong on any of these being one-hit wonders)
