Posted: 4/22/12 at 12:26pmThe copy I have is definitely recorded from a telecast. It has the UNV TV icon on the bottom right side of the screen and it has an introduction by John Mauderi, Chancellor UNC School of the Arts.

Posted: 4/23/12 at 12:56pmi am pretty sure the Laurey in this production was from here, Becky Moyes...i saw her in several productions while she was still in high school. i wanted to see this one too as i am a HUGE R&H as well as OKIE fanboy. As such, i humbly request adding to the PM bandwagon. Thanks.

At it's core it is still just a college production of OKLAHOMA, with the expected uneven and amateur performances.
Don't expect anything dazzling.

Posted: 4/23/12 at 3:20pmI'm not really watching for the performances or expecting much, but I'm a junkie for trying to see what original productions looked like in action.

Enjolras77 - Wow. Both my daughters went to HS (NWSA - Charlotte) and my youngest daughter graduated with Charles Osborne. Matter of fact, she was in several classes with him and "loved" him. My daughter was a dancer (majored in dance at FSU also) and Charles helped out in the yearly ballet production every spring. Charles was amazing in his roles in "Pippin", "Ragtime" and "Les Miserables" when he was at NWSA. He is currently the understudy in "Forbidden Broadway" which I believe runs until April.

Yankeefan7 -- Thanks for sharing that info! I'm glad to hear that Charles is doing well and is performing Off-Bway in FB!
NWSA is a great school. My wife has taught in the music department there since 2000, so I'm sure both of your daughters probably know her.
