How long's it gonna be until an actor falls on an audience member and we're all privy to the Lawsuit of the Century?
I know you.
I know you.
I know you.

I just posted something similar in the preview thread. This is getting scary and the body count is growing.

Someone on Twitter is saying that an actor fell at least two levels without a harness. That's some scary stuff.

Apparently, early word is that it is whoever was playing Spider-Man, so I'm guessing it was Reeve Carney.

aren't there multiple spiderman actors because of the way they do the flying?

Yes, they have "Team Spider-man" for the aerial work.
I am so scared that the next report we get is that someone died. Is that what it's going to take? A death?

Word is that it was an aerialist, so I am guessing it is not Reeve, but a sort of "stunt" performer.

someone in the preview said that Spiderman fell on top of Mary Jane...so would that mean that both are injured?

Spider-Man on Broadway. Stopped short near end. Someone took nasty fall. Screaming. 911 called. No idea what happened, kicked audience out.

Crew rushed out. Someone called for 911. Ended the show early with no explanation. Ambulances came immediately.

No joke. No explanation. MJ and Spidey took what seemed to be a planned fall into the stage pit. Then we heard MJ screaming.

My friend @Steventartick is at Spider-Man the musical and apparently some actor just fell two stories without a harness.

No, really...they just cancelled the rest if Spider-man. This is really effed up. Looked like his tether didn't hold or something.

Honestly, if the fall was from as high as people are saying I don't see how it couldn't be serious. Broken bones at the very least. I hope it's just a leg or an arm and not the spine.

the show needs to end now!! This sounds like a very serious injury with possibly broken arms and/or legs.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

@SteveOnBroadway yes, MJ screamed after spidey took the fall- then heard someone scream "some call 911" before I knew what was happening

A coworker of mine broke his back from a shorter height and he fell flat. If this guy fell on some stuff that bent him or put him at an odd angle things could be very ugly indeed.
I broke my back when I was in high school and I only fell from a foot or two.

Why do I get the feeling there's a lot of Freudian wish fulfillment going on whenever one of these Spiderman injury announcement threads appears?
I love this tweet: Reddingwb I hear now that during the next U2 tour they will do a tribute scrolling the names of people injured during The Spiderman broadway show.

Snapping wires will certainly get the show shut down for awhile. This is clearly an unsafe work environment at this point. Expect performances to be cancelled.

Here is a report from someone who was there:
Just home from the Spiderman, Jennifer Damiano is hanging off a bridge, spiderman grabs her and the drop, it was obvious something had happen, a wire shot out into the audience and at that point there was an extremely loud thump and then screaming from a female that continued for a while.
The house was silent, the screaming turned to sobs. The curtain dropped and within 2 minutes the show was canceled. I waited outside and saw a stretcher carrying a man still in the Spiderman suit being put into ambulance. Very scary.

Holy crap. I hope everyone is okay. I have tickets for early January and I hope they can get everything together by then. But clearly the safety of the actors/audience is more important than staying on schedule performance-wise. They should obviously do whatever they have to do to avoid problems like this in the future.
