I mean, I'm excited. (But it means that Hamilton will have to close in order to make 46th Street the official street of jukebox musicals... )
Meh. Did this even get great reviews out of town?
So much for that Crazy for You fast track some of us were hoping for. Doesn’t this book all the musical houses for the spring?
I'm mad that I have to see this because I'm obsessed with Donna Summer but also think Broadway deserves better than this. I will say, I look forward to bopping with the moms and gays in the aisles to The Last Dance.

The lighting/set design team did a very good job on the Studio 54-derived hanging fixtures.
I wonder if it will be as bad as it sounds. Strangely, Summer didn't even like these songs and also didn't especially like her gay fanbase because of her religious beliefs.

Oh, me too. The photos look terrible. I'm loathe to have yet another jukebox show on Broadway. It seems misguided at best. And I know I'll buy tickets. Oh, the particularly strange feeling of knowing you're part of the problem...

I saw this on Sunday and all I could keep thinking was the line from HAMILTON: "I have so much work to do." And to make matters worse, LaChanze was out when I saw it.

its not as bad as it sounds-i saw it and had a fun night of entertainment.
think “on your feet” with more moaning and disco balls
I saw this a few weeks ago and it is not ready for prime time - the 3 Donnas plus older/Diva Donna playing the mom is confusing. They need to decide if they are going to go full camp, or a serious bio - right now it's in a VERY weird gray area. My preference is that they go full camp and add a mega-mix ending.
To not have a mega-mix curtain seems stupid. This are fun disco songs. The audience should be dancing by the end of it.
The title/logo is all wrong too. It looks like Frozen.
My friends and I were taking about it and feel like they should’ve done this sorta like “Here Lies Love” as if you were in Studio 54 following her story and dancing and grooving along. ???????

If only this production could actually be STAGED at Studio 54
This seems odd given the near unanimous response being it was not ready. Even the kindest reviews took issue with tone and the book. While they could do an overhaul before NY, spring is not far away.

it's FINE... the audience went CRAZY for it when i saw it last TUESDAY...
the BOOK is CLUNKY... often OBTUSE...
but they use some of her songs to GREAT EFFECT... my FAVORITE: "I FEEL LOVE" sung by various GROUPS... her PARENTS... her and BRUCE... her and her KIDS... it was MOVING and it's ALWAYS been a GREAT SONG...
even when you are SITTING there wondering if you LIKED it or NOT... you find yourself SPRINGING TO YOUR FEET for LAST DANCE !!! because... well, there is a WOMAN with A GREAT VOICE... singing LAST DANCE... with CONFETTI FLYING AROUND... WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU DO ?!!!
and, after that, you would feel like a HYPOCRITE disparaging the show...
there are WAY WORSE JUKE BOX MUSICALS..... WAY...
it is in the "BETTER" JUKE BOX MUSICAL CATEGORY...
if you are a DISCO QUEEN and a THEATER QUEEN, you WILL BE THERE...
what's to DISCUSS ?!!!
p.s. they do some REALLY FUN, ARTISTIC STUFF with the LIGHTING !!! the LIGHTING is one of the BEST PARTS of the show !!!
p.p.s. i am sure they are on the PHONE with ANDY KARL trying to talk him into playing BRUCE SUDANO as i type !!!!

I saw this about two weeks ago and LaChanze was also out but I loved her understudy...the show however, is a different matter. It's a complete mess and the book is downright terrible. And I'm a huge fan of Donna Summer. Unless there is a major overhaul this will be ravaged by audiences and critics and won't last long. All I kept thinking after I saw the show, is how Donna Summer deserves better...and so do audiences.
They will also need to figure out where to add an intermission.

Seems like another show at the Lunt that's likely to get trashed by critics. Joining Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Finding Neverland, Motown, Ghost, Addams Family, and Little Mermaid
Hopefully they can get LaChanze an alternate if she’s already calling out that much.

No offense, but WRITING like THIS is very TEDIOUS to READ.
I know people in this show, and even they are mystified as to why it's moving forward.

I like it! I feel as if there's a hidden message in it.
