I hope this recording is better than those for South Pacific and King and I. I find both to be incredibly lifeless, failing to capture any of the magic that was on stage.
In regards to the upcoming release, I’m only seeing references to a CD, whereas the annoucement indicated a Digital Download. Since I don’t own a CD player and listen to most all of my music off of my iPhone (i.e. Napster, previously Rhapsody, etc.), I’d be interested in the Digital Download. Any idea of the cost, and will it be released the same day as the CD?
Thank you.
Their response:
Hello - MY FAIR LADY will be available on iTunes etc on June 8th!
So, it looks like I’ll be buying it off of iTunes!

Do you think they'll be putting it on spotify as well?

Unfortunately the email only mentioned iTunes specifically, with the “etc.” leaving us hanging on what other services the digital download would be available for purchase. I’d love for it to show up on Napster as well, but my gut feeling says that it won’t be on the monthly pay streaming networks for several months after it’s released. Hopefully I’m wrong.

Yeah that's what I'm expecting too, like what they did with Once on this Island and Falsettos. I'm friends with Jordan Donica so I'll probably be buying the album either way :)
Broadway Records does not typically put their albums on Spotify or Apple Music right away. I don't blame them - the money they make from streaming is laughable.

Just brought this home. I bought it last night in NYC. It is splendid! Everyone is just top notch. The cd is full of life, and the booklet is beyond gorgeous, the cover art --- everything. To me it is an example of just how to do a cd RIGHT! I love it! And lots of dialog ---- which is something I truly enjoy. The songs are truly in a fine dramatic context.

I am THRILLED to share that this cast recording sounds unbelievable!!! Lauren Ambrose in particular is really beyond sensational. I was hesitant since Broadway Records is pretty hit-or-miss, but this album will be one I cherish forever. So relieved!!
