Wow, that sounds like an incredible experience
I so wish I could've seen this show again
But wow, Heather Laws' baby in that Amy outfit is probably the cutest thing I've seen in a LOOOONG time! I almost want to make an icon out of it, haha :)

"Did anyone else here notice that Asian girl at the stage door (I hope that isn't anyone here). She was on top of the people as they came out of the stage door.. she even followed that girl with the baby because she thought she was in the show. And then she got her spot back in the front."
Yes, I noticed her too. I was a couple people over from her. What was worse was the guy that was with her, he kept mixing up actors and the characters they performed. The worst was when he thought Leenya was Barbara....it was painful to hear.

Totally saw her run after a random woman with a baby thinking she was Heather Laws. And then she plowed through everyone to get back to the front of the crowd. She was CRAZED!

Hah. Luckily, that sort of thing has been mostly absent from the Company fan world. Figures that everyone goes wild on closing performance.
Thank you for the pictures and stories, everyone!

While everything's pretty much been covered, I just wanted to say that I am so grateful that I was able to attend the final show.
What I'm sure will be more interesting to people is that I was in PBS' production truck for both the matinee and the evening show on Saturday, and the shots are absolutely beautiful. I don't know how it's going to turn out after editing, but from the shots alone, it looks great. Some of the sweeping shots from the rigged camera are gorgeous, especially during Being Alive.

My heart sank the moment I woke up this morning, after only a few hours of sleep anyway. It's strange; the first show I ever loved was AIDA, and when that closed, I was so, so upset. It had been in my life for several years, so of course I was sad to see it go, and I still do to this day miss it sometimes, but I never did the way I will miss Company. I loved Cabaret. I loved Sweeney Todd. But it was never like this -- it's hard to explain, especially after just waking up, but I'm sure some of you guys know what that feeling is like, to just connect with something. I feel like someone has extracted an actual part of my life. I know that's terribly silly, but because this time I actually live in Manhattan and was able to see it often, it really did have a big presence in my life. I feel as though I have lost something as irreplaceable as a close friend. I will be forever grateful for the time I did have with it, but hate that I will never experience it again. And sure, people will say to me that it's just a musical, but I suppose people here will understand how sad it is to let go of one of the most wonderful things you have ever experienced.

Oh, and something actually from the last show that was amusing was that one of the ushers told me and my friend that we could take as many Playbills as we liked. She said that they don't recycle, and they would just be thrown out, so take stacks. So now I have about 50 playbills, and if anyone wants one, PM me. I'm a poor college student, though, who spent the majority of her checking account for a ticket, so if you want one, you're going to have to pay for postage.

I wonder if they sold all the programs yesterday.
I really hope that the cast got the card that I sent them in time, because yesterday was too crazy to actually tell them anything in person

According to the merch guy, the programs were the only things that didn't sell out.

"I wonder if they sold all the programs yesterday."
When I was there on Saturday matinee, the guy said he only had three programs left (one on the counter and the 3 display ones.) I snagged one. He also said he only had the teeshirt on the display left. The lady next to me snagged it. The only thing he seemed to have much of were CDs and mugs. I don't know if they were saving more stuff somewhere to sell that evening and Sunday.
The program was only $5. Is that the usual price or were they clearance priced? I usually pay $10-$15.

In March I think I paid $10 or $15....Last night when I went to bed I was coming down from my adrenaline rush....this morning when I woke up it was gone, now I am just sad

I got mine online, they probably still have them.
I have the "you could drive a person crazy" shirt, not the other one. The regular ones shrink if you wash them in hot water and put them in the dryer - unless they are actually preshrunk, which usually isnt the case.

My friend got me a signed playbill a few months back when they were selling them for BCEFA. Although she said they mentioned another charity that evening. But I have it signed by the entire cast. So, didn't get to see the show, but have a piece of it at least.

I can't believe I waited until the final performance to see this, but at least I was there yesterday.
Raul Esparza was just electric. I would have been crying, but I couldn't breathe during "Being Alive."
I liked how he said he understands Company now, being where he is in life - I feel the same way.
