Yes Mockingbird had a performance this past evening. A friend told me most of the cast was present. She noticed Rosalyn Coleman performed as Calpurnia and Dakin Matthews as the Judge.
I had to ask her again about Dakin Matthews but she told me it was him who performed as the Judge this evening and not Gordon Clapp. I know Dakin was recently in Waitress reprising his role as Joe and that the musical closed early back in Dec 20th. Is Dakin Matthews covering for Gordon Clapp at Mockingbird for the time being or was my friend joking with me?
Did a quick search on social media and others have confirmed that Dakin Matthews is in TKAM for a limited time.

It doesn't look like Slave Play cancelled because of Covid yesterday; it looks like this was planned a couple days ago, to give the cast a mental health day for the holiday.
Say what you will about Jeremy O. Harris (and I will admit he does get on my nerves sometimes), but his heart is in the right place, and he does right by his cast.

It's not just the cast members, though, it's also the crew. If it spreads through the crew enough, that they don't have enough people to safely run the show, then they have to cancel. This has been the cause of multiple performance cancellations over the past several weeks.

The Skeleton Crew website now says they will resume performances on January 7, due to COVID breakthrough cases in the company.

Good to know thank you!!!
Btw, given yesterday was New Years and day before was New Year’s Eve, I have a feeling today is testing day for several shows.

I’m guessing SIX returns today. I just got an email about buying tickets for a few upcoming shows (today at 2pm & 6pm, and Monday and Tuesday at 8pm)

Shows have been testing daily and sometimes multiple times a day. That’s why Little Shop was canceled last night and today: their last Seymour cover tested positive between shows (according to his IG).

Anyone know if Patti is back today?
Unless they cancel literally last minute, ASSASSINS is a go this afternoon.
Could someone please report whether or not Patti is back in COMPANY this afternoon? I have tix for this evening and want to know what to (possibly) expect. Thanks!!!

According to 2 separate instagram posts that tagged the official company page, she’s there at the matinee. I’m seeing the show tonight too and I’ve been checking like crazy cause I wanna see her so bad.
Looks like Slave Play is back from their mental health break. Luigi Sottile is on for Jim and Ato Blankson-Wood is leaving the cast today.

At the beginning of ASSASSINS this afternoon, Steven Pasquale came out and gave a speech how rather than cancel because of two missing ensemble members, they reconfigured some things to cover as best they could and still go on. The actor who played the Proprietor delivered some lines with a script in hand from upstage. A true example of “the show must go on” and it was amazing!!!

Yeah… sorry about any confusion regarding the new username. Just didn’t feel the need to post anymore in the New Year under my real name.
The UK musicians over at SIX were wearing masks long before this afternoon’s Broadway performance. Don’t know why though.

They were wearing masks when we saw the show back in October.

I'm torn on what to do. I have a Broadway trip scheduled January 7th-10th. On one hand, I want to support the actors/industry and see some cool shows. On the other hand, I don't see this situation getting better in the next week, only worse. Also complicating matters is that some shows won't be running if I reschedule in April. I have a ticket to Assassins, Little Shop with Jeremy, and plan on seeing Girl From The North Country (may not make it to April) and American Utopia (Not running without an extension). Also seeing My Bluegrass Heart at Carnegie Hall. If I go later I could see Funny Girl and see Phish at MSG. What do y'all think I should do? Not super worried about getting Covid (young and Triple Vaxxed) but the cancelations/airline disruptions look daunting. I might be able to do an additional trip this fall but that is uncertain. I'm leaning towards going forward, rolling with the punches, and seeing where things take me. Take it in stride if a show has to cancel and go find another one to see.
Current Trip:
F: Assassins
Sa: Company or Girl From The North Country, American Utopia, Little Shop
Su: Music Man, Six, Bela Fleck's My Bluegrass Heart
April 22,23,24 potential reschedule:
3-4 of the following + Phish at MSG: Company, Funny Girl, Music Man, Six, A Strange Loop, Take Me Out, Macbeth

Can you afford to stay here for 5-10 days in case you get sick and need to isolate?
Scott R - if it helps, my trip is 1/4 - 1/6 (Assassins on 1/4; Company and Caroline, or Change on 1/5). Also triple vaxxed. Inspired by Sondheim’s passing. I’ve had so many worries (Covid; possible flight cancellations; possible show cancelations, etc.) about this trip. But after watching the Rent/Jonathan Larsen documentary “No Today But Today” last night. It reminded me of how much I love/need theater and re-committed me to my trip.

Scott R, Is your flight direct or are you changing planes? For me that would be included in the equation. You also have to take in bad weather scenarios. I personally (and I am being HONEST to say so), would rather not see a show then see a show with multiple understudies, a reduction of roles and reading from a book. I am also the type to get stressed in a normal scenario, involving flights, etc. There is no way I would go forward with a trip currently. But hey, that's me.
