I obviously don't know what goes into putting up and closing a show at a certain time, but maybe they closed when they did to prevent like... taxes of some kind? Only thing I can think of, to close before the new year hits.
I'll be at fridays show... photographing it. Sat & Sun is still up in the air.
Anyone else kind of wondering if Lynch is going to do the sound-check version of Grow Old With You? The "and I have herpes" version? He use to end last tours shows w/ that version of Grow Old w/ You.. I wouldnt be surprized if he does it since so many fans know thats what hes been doing and loved it last tour.

I chose, and my world was shaken- So what? The choice may have been mistaken,
The choosing was not...

"And when Idina Menzel is singing, I'm always slightly worried that her teeth are going to jump out of her mouth and chase me." - Schmerg_the_Impaler
Doesn't bother me all that much. I miss the show...but I can't bring it back. I'm glad I didn't see the signs coming down...I want to remember it as the way it was.
I for one am looking forward to CURTAINS...but I'm a Kander and Ebb freak so I was destined to go.
"I love talking about nothing. It is the only thing I know anything about." - Oscar Wilde
I like the idea of Curtains. That actually has nothing to do with it. It's just weird to see the marquee up there, because I got so used to seeing Wedding Singer.

I'm not so upset with the Curtains stuff going up, I actually prefer it. It'll be good to walk by and not see Wedding Singer stuff up when it's no longer there. Haha.
As for the show itself, Curtains doesn't sound very appealing to me because it reminds me of a show I recently worked on (Something's Afoot) and had a bad experience, but I won't judge until I see it.
I'd rather see TWS up there, but you know, it's better than the show being closed and having to see TWS up there and knowing that inside the theatre's bare and the show isn't being performed...
Agreed! The sooner it was taken down the better so it just didn't have to cross my mind it wasn't playing not that I would be passing by anyway. I liked the bright colors of TWS marquee though!
Not overly WS related, but the newest Legally Blonde blog video on Broadway.com is Orfeh and Andy Karl (he filled in for David Josefsberg while he was out for several weeks) getting ready to head off to San Francisco. There's also a very brief appearance by Richard Blake.
I'm kind of looking forward to Curtains. It sounds really interesting to me. Ofcourse I'm sad WS is no longer there, but there's nothing we can do about it .
ETA: Thanks for posting the video!
