With both of them being above the title, I don’t think either will be taking off unless absolutely necessary or pre-planned. Considering ticket holders can get a refund/exchange if they are out.

It looks like Jacob Dickey was on for Theo tonight!

Yep! And if you watch his IG story, you can hear a few seconds of Lenk's Being Alive from backstage. She sounds even more emotional than when I saw the show in the first week of previews.

Katrina sounded wonderful. I remain baffled at the idea she can't sing this. She may not be a powerhouse, but she's doing beautiful work up there.
Patti is still reigning. And Matt stops the show cold. Instant roars from the house after each. I think it's safe to say they're early favorites for the Tony right now.

God I love her. I have tickets to see it again mid January, I am just hoping that it actually happens.

Saw the Wednesday evening performance and was blown away by the production. I have seen Patti in many shows, but I have never seen her having so much fun with a role. The energy in the theatre was pure exhilaration.
So, I take it Manu is back for the matinee as Theo and Etai got sick last night and Jacob Dickey is the 1st cover for Paul but he was on as Theo - that means Nicholas Rodriguez was not ready-rehearsed to go on as Paul last night when Etai got sick w/ food poisoning. Sound right?
Tonight's my night to see it...hoping for the best, that the show goes on as planned, and that as many of the principals are in as possible. I don't suppose anyone knows who, if anyone, was out yesterday? From Twitter I was guessing Christopher Fitzgerald is one of the ones who was sick on Friday, so I hope he's doing well, even if he's not in (though I'd love to see him). Heard so much about Simard, Doyle, and Elder, so hoping for all of them...but as long as Patti's in, I'll be happy. Holding my breath until showtime (which may not be the worst choice under the circumstances).

Same here, fingers crossed! I've been here since Friday and have had great luck so far, just have this and Assassins tomorrow afternoon left to go.

Hey there!
was lucky enough to catch this last night (Monday 12/20) and everyone was on…..including the rain effect during the last half of Marry Me A Little!! Absolutely PERFECT show, fantastic cast, and both Matt and Patti stopped the show cold (and a standing o for Patti after Ladies Who Lunch). The entire cast is truly incredible, especially Etai, Claybourne and Jennifer

I was there last night too. I've been putting it off so that I could squeeze in some other shows that were closing, but with everything happening right now, I decided I couldn't wait any longer. I was kicking myself for not seeing the show before the shutdown, and I would've gone out of my mind if I had made the same mistake twice! I spent all day waiting for the dreaded announcement that the show would be cancelled, but it never came, and the show was wonderful.
I agree it was an electric performance. Really seemed like everyone was excited to be there, including me. As the poster above said, there were no swings or understudies.
I won't go too deeply into the production, but I loved it. And aside from the weak high-notes, I think Katrina Lenk is giving a phenomenal performance.
One thing though, regarding the performance: there was some sort of medical issue in the audience right before Ladies Who Lunch. It looked like maybe someone was having a blood sugar issue, or something of that nature. There was an audience member sweating bullets, while his partner and several ushers swarmed around him, feeding him snacks and juice. I was really worried at first, but luckily, by the time the song started he seemed to be feeling better, and everyone was back in their seats. I don't even thing the actors noticed.
Everyone was in again tonight! Definitely added a little extra thrill when entering the theater, seeing no substitutions on the board or insert, though I have to admit to being a little nervous for them seeing some of the cast come in through the audience, and then when they were breathing heavily in some of the numbers and sucking in big gulps of air... I know they're being as careful as possible and clearly they must be doing it right since they haven't had the issues of other shows. But I'm very glad the ushers are being as diligent as they are about keeping the audience masked, and I couldn't entirely get Covid off my mind.
I really enjoyed the show, even if I didn't quite love it. Some of the gender swaps didn't work for me--having the men sing "Poor Baby" to Bobbie was creepy (and too paternalistic) in a way that the women singing it to a male Bobby wasn't--and I didn't love the staging of "Another Hundred People," which was too much of a mess. But the cast is uniformly strong. I actually thought Nikki Renee Daniels overshadowed Matt Doyle on "Not Getting Married Today," maybe because I'd heard so much praise for him, so she was more unexpected. On the other hand, Claybourne Elder was even funnier than I expected, even with the good things I'd heard.
On the Lenk issue--I actually understand both the praise and criticism she's received, but the faults were ultimately irrelevant to me because her performance was so strong. In the first act, her singing did bother me at times--it sounded like she was doing a weird, quasi-accent in the early songs (which I later remembered some had mentioned), and there were moments in "Marry Me a Little" when her voice sounded really harsh. But I thought she sounded fine in Act Two, and I had no problems whatsoever with her "Being Alive." And acting-wise, she was absolutely terrific throughout. I'd never seen her in anything but videos of her performing "Omar Sharif." Within a few scenes, I had no trouble understanding why she was cast in the role. It's a great performance (though I see Daniels is one of the Bobbie understudies, and I wouldn't mind seeing her in the role).
All in all, it's a perfect show for the current moment. I needed joy, and even with my quibbles, that's what I got. So glad I got to see it, and with the full regular cast!
