But she was shown in a hospital bed with a bedside table. I would think she would've just gone to the ER and then been discharged. But then,I used to work in a hospital so maybe I'm nitpicky.

...except it's being savagely mocked by audiences all over social media, as well (its IMDB rating sits at a crummy 4.6/10). And, unlike most Broadway shows, this production is available to a worldwide audience, all at the same time. It has effectively nuked its own word of mouth.
Reading on social media, it's definitely not mocked by all of them. Some hate it, some love it, and some think that it's bad but hilarious and enjoyable at the same time.
I also read that some people wouldn't be surprised if it's becoming the next cult- musical, since it's "different" and not followings the "rules"
Huh?? It's not different at all. If anything, it's almost a parody of what a musical is expected to be. Except it's not a parody. Why are you simping so hard for a show that has shot itself in the foot and is clearly in trouble?
No Broadway show wants to start performances on the defensive, trying to convince people it's not as bad as they may have heard. The show was always gonna have an uphill battle, even if the pandemic hadn't struck. But now? Yikes. Who's going to want to spend Broadway prices in the hopes that it may be so bad it's good? Broadway is not an economically viable place for cult hits.
"...everyone finally shut up, and the audience could enjoy the beginning of the Anatevka Pogram in peace."

That's true. But the situation is even more dire. It's opening at a time that no sane producer would open. (NB that the laughable track record of the principal producers here is unquestionably the worst of any living producers.) The "cult" audience (and the rubberneckers who wouldn't miss a train wreck) will run their course during the only time of year that one can hope for an elevated capacity. The show can stumble through the end of the year, by which time the SVOG money will be gone) and who is supposed to go see this in the next 2 months? I don't have an answer but I know it's not going to be tourists (domestic or, as someone absurdly suggested, international) because they will not be here, and it is not going to be locals, and it's not going to be the modest audience that saw the streamed version of the same exact thing. so maybe they will have to rely on holograms to fill the theatre. Maybe Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels will show up.
Why not simping for the show? It's my opinion about it.
You better tell me why you guys try to convince people to "hate it" , and why you try to make people look stupid when they like it due different reasons...
But wait... aren't you guys the ones who also have been spreading, that Memphis will close within a few weeks, and that noone likes it and critics even hate it even more?
Didn't it win several Tonys at the end? 😁
So... you just THINK that you are smart and know everything, but in fact you don't know nothing!!! And even if you feel related to musical-world, what you spread here doesn't mean anything at all.
Why is it so hard for you, just to respect and accept different opinions??
Well... I guess I know your reaction already, bec you refuse thinking about your policy here on this board anyways. You just can't live with people not acting like being "insiders" .
But you know what: I don't care!
People who are NOT acting like mentioned above are mostly the ones, who don't NEED to show this in public .
And just in a sidenote: I never said Diana is perfect, and it needs improvement, yes, but it doesn't deserve all the hatred and negativity some media already spreaded before it's been even released. (?!!!??)
I enjoyed watching it and I enjoyed the good moments in it. Why not?!?
And I saw several media (and more and more people who watched it) lately who also shared more or less what I think about it.
Just came across a review which sums it up pretty well in my eyes.
If you can't stand some positive thoughts and valid criticism.. it's fine. If you hate ut: Go for it.
But if someone like me sees it differently, don't act like you know everything better, bec that's just not true at all!
We all will see when it's running. Probably it closes soon? Probably it runs till mid 2022? Probably it runs even longer?
Fact is that noone knows!! Not even you!
But give it a fair chance, before calling it dead before it even started.
Time will tell anyways!
If you refuse to just let it go, with some good laughs just out of stupidness, this musical isn't for you, that's for sure.
I'm just really looking forward to this. It will be my first Broadway show in over 2 years. Maybe I could have picked something else, but I really wasn't interested in last season's musicals and the majority of plays currently playing. I'm seeing Caroline at matinee and Doubtfire my second night. To be honest I'm dreading it more. In any other season, I would have never placed it for one of my show slots. I may be pleasantly surprise by it, and Diana. I don't listen to critics, other people, just myself. If I don't like it, then it will be 100% my fault, yet I never leave during a show.
AS a champion of the CATS film/video being so bad it must be seen to be believed ( yes I know there are them in the opposite camp) where would you place this comparatively? 1) As bad as 2)worse, 3)mediocre but some redemption or 4)I liked it and don't see what the hate is about ( the- Diana-was-an-angel-on-earth-and-the-Royals-destroyed-her camp)
I liked it and I don’t see what all the hate is about, but I acknowledge the lyrics are unpolished and some people feel the campiness seems to disrespect Diana’s legacy. I thought the campy bits like “The Dress” were the best parts.
And I promise you I do not care AT ALL about Diana’s legacy. It was just truly dreadful in my opinion.
If it was a parody well…at least it would have that excuse. But the fact that it takes itself so seriously adds to the cringe level. Actually, that’s what it is. I had so much second-hand embarrassment for everyone involved, and that made me uncomfortable.
Still, I champion people watching things and forming their own opinion.
Surely some of the most gobsmackingly bad lyrics in the history of Broadway? Some of the worst songs, the most mind boggling shallow songs and book? It was a good laugh. Not in a good way. Often hilarious. Not intentionally.
I did not watch on Netflix because I want to see it live. Question: will it still be running in February? That's when I return to NYC. It seems like it's destined to get bad reviews, but I keep hearing these shuttered grant things will just keep shows open for many months, no matter what. Anyone understand this grant thing? I love all things Royal so I hope I get to see it and decide for myself.

If you really want to see it, book your February ticket. In any event, the exchange/return policy is flexible through at least January 2, I believe.

Cats and Dear Evan Hansen are still entrenched much deeper in the “so bad it’s good” category. The thing is, Diana is bad. It’s certainly not good. But part of me almost feels like it’s a hair’s breadth away from being good. The set design, the casting, the performances, all of those things are very good. This is one of those situations where the show itself is just bad. The score, particularly it’s lyrics, are just bizarre at best. The music itself is beautiful as long as you don’t speak English fluently.
I honestly can’t figure out who this show was supposed to even be for. Despite the people most likely being attached to Diana herself being middle aged at youngest, the show is written like some kind of pandering to Gen Z, who have entirely rejected it anyway because they can see it’s insincerity.
