Daniel Fish-Directed OKLAHOMA! Lassos its Way to St. Ann's Warehouse

Well that's exciting and totally unexpected for St. Ann's!

I have to say, if someone told me any production of Oklahoma might be playing at St. Ann's - without referring me to an official source - I might not have believed them. As it is I had to scan the headline a few times to make sure I wasn't reading it wrong. But hey, it sounds interested, and I trust St Ann's implicitly. I look forward to seeing it!

Looking at the pictures it looks like something for St. Ann's and kind of curious to see them tackle a musical. And such a traditional one at that.

Amber Grey as Laurey??? God I hope so!

According to audition notice posted they are looking for a Laurey, so maybe Amber Gray not involved. The notice says Jud Fry, Aunt Eller, Gertie Cummings and Curly are already cast. Any educated guesses as to who has might be filling these roles?

Gray is tentatively attached to Hadestown which is trying to transfer in the fall.
Count me as not excited, Daniel Fish is one of the WORST directors I've ever seen, he directed one of the WORST shows I've ever seen in NYC called Home For Sale at The Duke.

I saw this production at Bard a few years ago and LOVED it!! So glad it's coming to NYC; can't wait to see it again!
I wonder if Amber Gray isn't continuing because of a Hadestown Broadway transfer...?

Thanks, bandit! Just got my seats.

Amber Gray was extremely pregnant at the Jack Alive benefit 2 weeks ago, I'd say Hadestown in London is a better bet than her doing this.

just looking over the seating, why are there so many partial view seats in the upper right side of the space?

My mom is thrilled! Just grabbed us 2 table seats. Thanks for the heads up!
