Posted: 11/18/17 at 8:09pmWhen will you all be arriving at stagedoor? I'm arriving at 4:45 so I get a good spot since I'll be running from waitress. How many things will be sign? I want my phone case, a DEH playbill and a bom with him signed. Would he do that?

I've heard that security has been narrowing it down to one signature per person. If they weren't doing it earlier, they will definitely do it for Ben's last show. Pick one out of the three

Yep, I was at last night's show and the one signature per person is definitely the case. Also, while there is a high probability of Ben coming out (as he tends to do on Sundays, *and* it's his last show), there is no guarantee. Last night, we waited ~90 mins, only to be told no cast members would be signing. It's unpredictable.

Last night, security said they were probably going to have to shut down the street for Ben's last stage door. I would recommend getting there as the show starts to get a spot by the barrier. Still there is no guarantee that any one is going to come out and sign.

How was the crowd outside last night (and tonight if anyone waits outside after the show)? I managed to get a ticket for tomorrow- do you think it will be worth trying if I get out when the show does?

No. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they reroute exiting patrons to immediately across the street or east - away from the stage door. It is going to be so insane... Can't imagine there will be any room to allow actual audience members to make their way to door.

I came from Mezzanine Row A at last night's show, and stood halfway down the barricade. Crowd there was three deep and I was in the second row of people. However, important to note that no one came out to sign (fine with me, as it was still a fun experience).

When I waited a few weeks ago they made non-atendees stand all the way at the end (closest to box office) and let people coming from the show stand on the sidewalk by the stage door.

thank you! I'll ask around and see if I can find out what's going on when I get to the theatre before the show, I guess it's all gonna be up to what they decide is best to do for the crowds.

I was curious if anything was left tonight on SH, so at ten minutes to curtain I found:
A single at $2,000 ctr orch. A pair for $1,000 each in noted handicap seats. Four seats ctr orch for $500+ each and a pair for $400+ each orch sides with all seats near the back.

Checking in from tonight's show. Crowd at the stage door was four people deep and extended past the doors of the Imperial. Michael Park and Jennifer Laura Thompson came out to sign, Rachel Bay Jones said hi but didn't sign anything, and Ben came out and told us that his family had flown in for his last show, so he was going to spend time with them instead of signing.
If you want to stage door tomorrow, I'd almost say get there around curtain time of you want to be up front. It is going to be PACKED.

Just wanted to thank everyone on this board...because of you, I was able to see the show before Ben leaves from the front row tonight, and it was incredible! Thanks again, and good luck to everyone going to/trying to go tomorrow!

Honestly I don't think that he'll stagedoor considering how emotional it'll be - I'd assume he'd be with friends and family. Even his performance tonight was extremely raw, emotionally. He was holding back tears throughout the first act - that was Ben, not Evan. But hey, who knows.
As far as final shows go, I attended the final Comet performance and everyone came out (plus Josh Groban, designers, and Rachel Chavkin) except Denee Benton and Amber Gray, who rarely came out during the run anyway. I was at the stage door for over 2 hours.
Since this is only one actor leaving, it's of course a very different situation, but it's gonna be insane. Lin-Manuel Miranda didn't stagedoor his final Hamilton for safety reasons so it's possible that it'll be the same here.

I went to the last performance of Neil Patrick Harris for Hedwig and he did come out of stage door but did the usual of only signing a handful of playbills before going to his black SUV.
I was at Daveed's last performance too and he came out just to wave at the fans. I went to one of Sara's last performances for Waitress and she did the same thing.
I think someone on here or somewhere mentioned Ben has a stalker or two (or more) and so security will be high. A part of me hopes he will stage door given he doesn't have to do vocal rest anymore but at the same time if the crowd is crazy, then I doubt it. I've gone to stage door twice this week and security will inform the crowd first that there's a chance no one will come out to stage door (no one came out the other day.)
Ultimately it's up to the actor. I think first and foremost he'd consider his safety first since he knows those fans will remain fans regardless or not he does stage door.

Thanks to CT2NYC, I saw the show last night, and may I just say, it is the most beautiful peace of musical theatre I’ve ever seen. Ben Platt was absolutely PHENOMENAL. I was crying the whole time, and so was he. I still can’t believe it. THANK YOU!!
(PS: Someone from this board was sitting next to me last night but I forget who you were!! I was the girl front row in the green dress!)

That's awesome that you were there last night, and lucky ones for today's show I'm all the way in Toronto and feel sad that he's leaving (which is silly as it's not like i'll ever get to see him again)...BUT....so grateful that we got to see him back in April. He is incredible and I second your comment about it being the most beautiful piece of theatre. Even my 8 year old hasn't seen the show but really loves the music and always asks for it in the car (knows all the words...except for the first bar in Dear Evan Hansen as I turn the sound down just for that part...ha ha). Also thank you to CT2NYC for the 4 day trick (and some other poster at the time sharing her experience) as otherwise, I wouldn't have known and wouldn't have know to check persistently in the days just before.
For anyone lucky enough to go today, enjoy! Hoping there will be posts on facebook.
