I guess we won't know how much tickets are until tomorrow- I will be on the cue at 10 AM- and want seats in the front or second row for this- and will pay whatever the price is- wondering just how high it will go.

My experience with other AmEx presales is that you go to the ticketing site (should be Telecharge in this case) and when prompted for a code enter the phone number on the back of your card. (Right now I don't even see Othello on the AmEx events site, but that could change by tomorrow.) You must purchase with an AmEx card as well, not just use the code to get in. And while do they offer good seats, they don't always make all the seats available during the presale.

I'm glad you will pay whatever the price is because premium seats to this will probably surpass $600 given the fact that many, many shows now are selling in the $300 - $400 range with no stars.
Is there supposed to be a code for Amex presale today? I'm currently in the waiting room and not sure what's required, a code or just Amex CC as a payment. Did anyone receive any email?
I just bought my ticket on telecharge. All you have to do is enter your Amex card number at check out. These are some expensive seats. Didn’t want to pay over $200 a seat so I’m in the front grow of the rear mezz for $176 on a Wednesday night. Looks like this is gonna be a hot ticket to get given the number of seats that are already sold. Nothing in the orchestra for under $300. Front mezz is $500 and it looks like cheapest seat in the rear mezz during the week is $135
front orchestra (the little available for the Amex sale) is $720 per seat. Mid-orchestra and front mezz is $550. There are a few rear orchestra and rear mezz for $370.
Am curious of there will be pockets of less expensive seats (especially in the orchestra) during the regular pre-sale next week.
I think some of the premium center orchestra tickets were held back, but otherwise, I believe all of the orchestra was on sale today except for the last couple of seats on the sides, which I imagine will be held back until they know how obstructed the view is from those seats. So I don't think there will be cheaper options available next week. If anything, prices will be higher. Dynamic pricing happened just in the first 90 minutes of the pre-sale today, where some tickets went up by as much as $100. A lot of the pricing quoted here is higher than at the beginning of the pre-sale. There were $216 tickets in the orchestra at one point. So if you have access today, get your tickets now, and look at different dates because the pricing could be quite different.
"What was the name of that cheese that I like?"
"you can't run away forever...but there's nothing wrong with getting a good head start"
"well I hope and I pray, that maybe someday, you'll walk in the room with my heart"
These prices are crazy but about what I expected for the most part. I snagged some for one date so I'm sure to go at least once and then hopefully rush or standing room will also happen so I can go again. Maybe I'll win another pair at the Pick-a-Tick at the flea market lol

$250 for the last row of the mezzanine is psychotic."
yeah these prices are pretty steep. There are a few seats on the side in the orchestra for $196 but otherwise the only other seats in the 100s are in the rear mezz
Got three left front mazz seats right off the aisle for the Friday after opening (about 100 dollars less per seat compared to the week before), "Reasonable" at $247 (the seats immediately in front of mine jump up to 620, so I guess that's a deal

I'm not delusional. I'm just sad that B'way has turned into this. This is just proving the critics right, that B'way has become just for the elite.
As for me. I would love to see this but NOBODY is worth that price. Kudos for the people who want to see "stars" and will pay that price. I don't think these two actors will do on stage any more or less than what so many others can do just as well, for a lot less money..
That's a bit of a generalization, that Broadway has "turned into this". There has always been shows with huge stars that have very expensive tickets, this is nothing new. Currently shows need to be brilliant or have huge stars to make a profit. It's a business and the goal is profit, like any other business.
Plus, there are always promo codes and good deals floating around for many shows out there. Just not this one.
