This is getting ridiculous- if you do not like the price of eggs- don't buy them- and the same for every other commodity- do you see a point in railing against something you cannot change? And if you think Donald Trump is gonna bring down the prices of these things- lol.

Which side of front orchestra is better in terms of noise/view? Not sure whether to go for F13 or F14

They were late sending the code this morning (it's Desdemona) but once I got in it was pretty seamless. Got tix for the week after opening

For anyone curious - the seats (and prices) for the general presale seem to be exactly the same as those for the Amex presale.
And - for the performances that I checked - very large chunks of the center orchestra seats were not on sale for either (curious). FWIW - I was able to get in quickly to both presales, so I doubt those orchestra seats were already sold.

I just got my seats for one of the last previews and there were no center orchestra seats available/on sale, and less than 15 seats available in side orchestra for the dates I checked. Front Mezz was almost completely unavailable as well. It will be interesting ot see if a lot of seats were held back or have already sold. (Probably the former for either general sale or comps).

Essential commodities (including staple foods like eggs) are not comparable to theatre tickets, what are you even talking about?

Pretty sure no one can reliably answer this for you -- they don't even start rehearsing until January.
After waiting for almost an hour, I went in, searched a few dates (ah, the joy of being newly retired!) and grabbed tix. Decided front balcony wasnt priced too terribly, and was surprised by how many seats were available for under $200. Just a few days before opening, so the show should be well frozen.
Cannot wait.

THEATRE TICKETS ARE GETTING MORE EXPENSIVE AND YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO LIKE IT! OK!?
Double post
Easily managed to grab a rear mezzanine seat for previews earlier this afternoon. Price wasn't as high I anticipated, either! I'm typically not a fan of Kenny Leon's direction, but I love Shakespeare, and seeing Denzel and Jake share the stage is what I'm primarily there for.

Airlines also have gotten expensive- so have cars. Just the way it is. For those who can afford these things- that is okay- for others who cannot- it is not so good- but that is the way it is and is gonna be- or gonna get get even more expensive as time moves on. Nothing wrong with watching a good movie on tv- a lot cheaper and no crowds."
And people have to stop acting like discount codes don't exist. Sure, they may not be for a huge discount, sure it may only apply for certain days, but they're still out there. There is lottery, there is rush which obviously allows many young people to see shows like The Outsiders over and over again. Lottery, rush, subscriptions, off-Broadway.
People are just so used to getting what they want these days, that they expect everything to cater to them

Perhaps there's a happy medium between $700 tickets and "people are entitled!"

$135 tickets in rear mezz are happy medium. People are outraged by $700 tix yet think it's beneath them to book less than ideal seats. Prime seats will always come with a prime price tag. Booking these seats is a choice.

True -- but the next row back is $420, and the row behind that is $320.
And if you want to be closer, they have row B (on the sides) at $620 and row C at $320.
It all depends on how you to choose to cherry pick in order to suit the pre-determined premise...
Heck, I saw tix in the side orch for about 225, which I was tempted by.

Yeah for sure, I'm for sure going, and I'll be more selective picking seats, just zooming and seeing a face value at $820 was shocking

Exactly, the sense of entitlement is gross. "I deserve to see this!". No, no you don't. Broadway is a luxury item like a vacation or an expensive car. People see what they can afford and it that means paying 5 dollars for a fun community production so be it. There are tons of other options other than Broadway. No one owes you sh*t.

What am I talking about- I think it is pretty obvious- the prices of things go up- entertainment, essential commodities- prices of stocks, price of homes or condos- everything- some things more and some things less affected by inflationary pressures. I would think that is pretty obvious. So--what are you talking about?
Newly announced:
Can’t link but Denzel did a video interview where he claims he is a few films away from retiring. Among those are BLACK PANTHER 3, a possible Steve McQueen film, a film version of OTHELLO and a KING LEAR (idk if that’s screen or stage).
Complete cast just announced.
"Neal Bledsoe as ‘The Duke of Venice’, Julee Cerda as ‘Bianca’, Ezra Knight as ‘Montano’, Gene Gillette as ‘Gratiano’, Rob Heaps as ‘Ludovico’, ensemble members William Connell, Ty Fanning, Ben Graney, Daniel Reece, Christina Sajous, Greg Wood, and swing Abiola Obatolu."

It’s always hysterical to me when BWW just writes news stories based on posts in the message board, with no further details.
What are you even talking about? The BWW article literally states st the beginning that their source is Washington himself on the Australian Today show. There are articles all over the internet (Hollywood Reporter, Variety) all say the same. BWW didn’t get anything from anonymous message board comment. Maybe you do, but they cited a source. Himself - and the rest of the article gives clear information as to what we know now.
