Good GOD what a cast.

Yeah this cast is bonkers. My firstborn for a Senzel/Daisy audio to magically appear in my DMs when the time comes...

Tony Award Winner Matt Doyle and his involvement in this is a recession indicator.

I mean, getting the chance to live in Seoul for a few months doesn’t sound too awful

I don't think there's a recession in South Korea.

This seems more like an “I’ve had a rough year and need a change” decision. Just from following him on social media, the year has included a breakup with Clayton, a lost his dog and it doesn’t seem like things are really happening with his Sinatra musical. He also seems to be pretty angry about where our country is politically, so I could see him wanting a hard reset from it all. Hope he and the rest of the cast enjoy the experience.

Probably pays well, it’s a change of scenery, and it’s a well-oiled machine that he knows what he’s getting himself into.
It’s also great exposure for future work: the Seoul musical theatre market is incredibly robust, and Chunsoo Shin (the lead producer of Great Gatsby) is an important figure over there.

I didn’t know he broke up with Max. How sad.
Re: SINATRA - they are currently reworking and workshopping some new things, but also holding auditions for a Fall 2025/Winter 2025-6 opening

Right. Jorge is suggesting that Doyle has to go to Korea to pay his bills because there's too little work here. That's an endorsement of Jorge said. Was that your intention?

Ridiculous comments.Actors take jobs all over the world. When did "recession indicator" become popular? It's annoying even if it's a joke or whatever

Also top billing and a paid vacation to South Korea so.

I remember when people on this board were calling out Matt Doyle for doing Cameo videos went the pandemic hit as if it were something shameful, so not sure why people are obsessed with judging what Matt Doyle does with his talents. This is a great get for him and the rest of the cast, South Korea is definitely making a big push into the musical scene and it'll be interesting to see if we have more crossover in the future.
I'm curious though, I think in the past Korean productions have alternated two casts so are they no longer doing that for this production or is this just the "A cast"?

Just say y'all are old and don't get Jorge's joke and move on.

This Korean-based news outlet states that a Korean language production will an all-Korean cast will be produced next year.

This is great casting. Despite what you think about the material (I love it lol but absolutely understand why others don't), the casting has been A++. I just saw the Broadway production again and the new cast is incredibly strong and the show is in good shape.
I do wonder if this new cast for South Korea will then be carried over for the upcoming national tour.

I don't remeber people calling out the cameos. I remember people commenting that Matt and Max overshared on social media on a daily if not hourly basis. Certianly nothing wrong with taking this gig. I can't imagine a extended stay in Korea is on top of a actors list. But work is work. I wish him well. Hate the show. Ugh.

Wait, Clayton's thighs are back on the market?! How is this not national news!?
Anyway, this cast is insane, those Koreans are luckier than they already are to be enjoying them.

Seoul is an absolutely incredible place with very supportive audiences. They’ll have a great time on this gig and will be showered with gifts during the run.
The Australian cast of Wicked will be there at the same time so having interesting/international peers around will add to the experience.

You love deleting stuff don't you? Why? Leave people be. Clayton did a interview on a podcast recently. He talked about alot of this. He overshared on social media and now he says it is no ones buisness. LOL. He also has a subscription alternative on instagram.. if you want to see more.

Most Tony award winners don't see their careers change that radically after their wins. Doyle's constantly working and has a career that any working actor would be thrilled to have.
