re: Dream Cast for film Version of Aida

I actually think that britney murphy might actually pull of something like Amneris.
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

Radames: Jim Verraros

Amneris: Brittany Murphy

Zoser: DAVID BOWIE godtdammit!!

Mereb: SanjayaCorbinBleuMarioVazquezUsherZacEfronOmarionIhavenofreakinidea. Is Damian Perkins all that busy these days? He could probably do it...Maybe Elijah Kelly...

re: Dream Cast for film Version of Aida

i always wanted Tamyra Gray to play aida in the stage version, but i dont think she is a big enough name for the movie.

Too bad the big ol' vioces from the past are too old for the roles, like Whitney, Celine and Bon Jovi, lol.

re: Dream Cast for film Version of Aida

Aida- NOT BEYONCE!!!!!! NOT ALICIA KEYS!!!! NOT R & B OR POP SINGER!!!!!! This part is written for a someone who has a powerful voice and who is a good actor, neither of these women could pull it off.

Radames: NOT ZAC EFRON! NOT ADAM PASCAL!!

Amneris: NOT KELLY CLARKSON!!! I can't beleive anyone even mentioned her, did you see "From Justin to Kelly"? Acting is required for this role!!! I am thinking Emily Blunt.....she can sing....Brittany Murphy would be good too! Kelly clarkson, ha ha ha that's a good one.....

re: Dream Cast for film Version of Aida

I agree with Spacedog78, NO R & B OR POP SINGER!!

Aida: It would be nice for a relatively new person on the scene to do it. Or a throwback to the Toronto Lion King and RENT cast, get Saskia Garel to do it.
Rademes: Can Jude Law sing???
Amneris: Idina Menzel
Zoser: Love the suggestion of David Bowe!!

re: Dream Cast for film Version of Aida

Maybe for Aida they could do what they did with Tracy in Hairspray...Find someone who's completely unknown but can really sing/act...

Does anyone have someone in mind for Mereb? Because no matter how hard I try, I just can't think of anyone who would be perfect for that one(I could probably fill a small notebook with all the names I've thought about for that role)...All I know is it needs to be someone good. Because I love 'How I Know You' like a fat kid loves cake and I don't want to see it get butchered...

Yea, let's do the OBC. That way the producers can lose as much money as RENT and The Producers team have! Awesome!

re: Dream Cast for film Version of Aida

Aida: too bad Heather and Deborah (Cox) are probably too old. I can't really think of a good big name that will fit the part.

Amneris: Jessica Simpson. A dumb (or pretending to be dumb) blonde with a big voice. Perfect fit.

Radames: ...no clue. I wanna say Justin Timberlake, but he's too wimpy sounding to be Radames. Maybe JC Chasez?

Nebhaka: Anika Noni Rose...if she's not too old, then she could be Aida. She looks young enough. In that case, Tracie Thoms or Jennifer Hudson could be Nebhaka.

Zoser: David Bowie

Mereb: Elijah Kelley (Although I think he's too good for such a small part, I just can't think of anyone else who could be better)

re: Dream Cast for film Version of Aida

Aida: Unknown or im fine with Beyonce if the rumour is true or Anika Noni Rose

Radames: Jake Gyllenhall?

Amneris: Rachel McAdams or Britney Murphy

edit: I meant Anika Noni Rose

Oh dear lord, this again?

Lets see how long it takes for some of these new suggestions to make it into a magazine article.

"Jim Verraros"

That made me laugh out loud... Jim V. passing for a straight soldier (Egyptian aside) is just too funny to imagine.

re: Dream Cast for film Version of Aida

My Wishes:

Aida: I would love Jennifer Hudson. She has really trimmed down and would be great. Did I mention she can sing? Or Tracie Thoms.

Amneris: Emily Blunt (love her!) or (if she is good out of rehab)Lindsay Lohan. I know Lohan has issues, but she can sing and would being some fun to the role. Is Scarlet Johansenn too old?

Radames: I would love a newcomer. But I think Ryan Gosling would be perfect!

Nehebka: I think Jennifer and Anika are TOO big of names. I think Tracie Thoms would be perfect.

Zoser: David Bowie or, depending on who is cast, Hugh Jackman. Or is he too young?

Mereb: I would love Elijah Kelley, but I think it's to small of a role and talent would be wasted. I think that (dare I say it) Bow Wow would be interesting. But then, Sanjaya's available

What'll end up:

Aida: Beyonce

Radmes: Justin Timberlake

Amneris: Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson, or Paris Hilton

Zoser: Elton John

Nehebka: ?

Mereb: Corbin Bleu

re: Dream Cast for film Version of Aida

Aida: Unknown, maybe Beyonce, Anika Noni Rose or Toni Braxton. Really any good black singer will work for me.

Radames: James Mardsen

Amneris: Jessica Simpson
