How about GIMMIE GIMMIE! from TMM?
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

"Gimme Gimme" isn't really an "I Want" song. Millie's is "Not For the Life of Me" - which I also love.
My favorite, though, is "The Beauty Is".

I chose, and my world was shaken. So what?
The choice may have been mistaken. The choosing was not.

The show isn't very good, but "Part of Your World" remains one of my favorite "I wish" song. I also like "Somewhere That's Green." Guess I'm a Menken fan.

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.”

"Part of Your World" was going to be my answer too. And, if the show isn't good, it ain't all bad either!

I'll cheat because it's really a movie musical but "Out There" from HUNCHBACK is a killer "i want" song.

GIMMIE, GIMMIE is definitely and 'I want' song, IMO. And it's also the best song in the show.

I completely agree with "I Need To Know." I thought I was the only one. I personally think it's the best song on the Studio Recording and was stunned when I heard it had been cut from the Broadway version.
I also agree with the others that have been mentioned. I'm kind of a sucker for "I Want" songs in general.

I agree with you on both of those, Glindathegood22. LOVE those songs.
I also really adore "The Beauty Is" from LITP.

"'Gimme Gimme' isn't really an 'I Want' song."
Do you know the lyrics? Yes it is indeed an "I Want" song...Gimme = I want. She even sings "I want it" and "I need it" in various parts of the song. It's one of my favorites from the show.

My top two are "Somewhere That's Green" from Little Shop, or "Being Alive" from Company.
White, a blank page or canvas. His favorite - so many possibilities.

Would you consider someone is waiting from company an I want song? He sings about the type of woman he wants and frankly after Raul sang that song it has become my favorite for both that show and overall I want song.
