I was in Row B orch seat 13. Close is great for this show. However the last seat house left there are 2 bits where the actors are cut off and you miss some physical comedy. From those around me in row a b and c seat 9 seams to be full view. 11 and 13 are cut off fir those few parts. The gentleman behind me was rather upset he was not told he wouldnt see things as he bought full price online.
The very front row seems fine right to the end as seats stop before the procenium.

Last minute, but I do have an extra rush ticket available for tonight at 8. $40 or best offer. :)
Anyone in the last row balcony for this? View seems great from there but not sure how it is for this show in particular.

Honestly, the last row of the mezz is a great view for pretty much any show that plays here.

I concur. It’s a very small house (and my favorite on Broadway). Sat in last row mezz for The Boys in the Band and it was great.

I don't necessarily know how to describe what I just saw, but I loved it. Lane is fantastic, Nielsen is lovely, but White really takes this and runs with it. Utterly incredible. I will also add that the front row is a splash zone. I got covered in fake blood. Be aware if you aren't into that.

It’s now on TDF for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday matinee.
I just picked up tickets for the latter.

Went to the box office at 5pm and got two seats in the house left box. Missed a little action on stage right, but no complaints.
Seeing it Saturday afternoon, these reviews have got me excited!
I expect this show will be polarizing. 6 out of 7 reviews on Show-Score are mixed/negative.
Some really fascinating reviews here. I was leaning towards “Ink” and “Oklahoma” for the last couple of slots on my May trip, but “Gary” might just bump one to the curb.
Oh for the days when reviews were written after opening. I get that this show will nit be everyibne's cup of tea, to jump online and write negative reviews after a cast member injury is premature. The cast is still working in this and, while I understand that we all have the right to our opinion after having paid the price of admission but I like to think people would take a beat.

Oh man! Do you think that extends to the second row as well?

If you are in the second row I would imagine you're safe. The left and right sides of the first row are also ok. it seemed to be only us in the center that got covered. Also while it does wash off pretty easy it did leave a pink stain on my skin... It's Julie White though so I don't care.
I just had to change the subject line......so feel free to click on my post to reply to get rid of the MESS one.

I didn't see anything when I was there. Granted I went on the first preview but still. All they had were souvenir sippy cups at the bar... which I ended up buying impulsively since I love the show's artwork.

Just got home from tonight’s performance....quick question for those who saw either of the first two previews:
Did they have a real baby at the end or did they just use a doll for the first previews?
Spoiler answer below.
At the first preview they used a doll.

I went into the show SO excited to see a new work from these artists. And I thought the idea of the show sounded like a total hoot. But wow, this show needs some work. The three leads are in great form and making the most out of the material they were given, but I still don't really know what this show is about. It's about maids cleaning up after a massacre, but one of them wants to put on a musical? Maybe it's just not my cup of tea, but I think my opinion was shared by much of the audience on Tuesday. There were several walk-outs (in an intermission-less show) and the ovation at the end was surprisingly tepic. only about a third of the audience stood. Lots of props, however, to the physical production...the reveal of the bodies got one of the biggest cheers. I also thought Julie White was hysterical in the supporting role. I would love to say that this one can be saved, but there would have to be a massive overhaul. I wish this one had started in a regional house and fine tuned itself. I would not recommend it.

Was also there last night, and yeah, definitely seemed like
this was the first time they used the live baby. Lane rolled with the punches nicely; seeing him walk back out with the doll was hysterical. I can't help but think that they wouldn't have had this idea if it weren't for the Ferryman.

Out in front of The Booth now, been taking pics of some of the new marquees for my album. Was disappointed that they took the huge GARY poster off of the wall over the main theater entrance. Must be updating the names?

I don’t know that the show needs work. I think the show is exactly what it wants it to be. If you’re familiar with Taylor Mac’s work, this is exactly the kind of stuff that judy does. I really appreciated that it was not toned down for Broadway audiences.
Would left or right mezz make a big difference for this show?
