That was really lovely, the highlight being the speeches and the photo essays on Gavin. But where was Audra? Not that Kelli O’Hara was any sort of an unsatisfactory replacement!
I'm hoping this will be available to watch later. What was the streaming service they used or does someone have the link?
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
I was looking too for a link to watch. Couldn't make it to the live stream. Searched youtube but nothing. Does anyone know if there is a place to watch now that the live is over?
Maybe Playbill or BroadwayWorld will have a video later on? The original YouTube link comes up as private.

EDSOSL0358 said on the previous page that it would NOT be made available later. I guess that’s generally how it’s done with these type of memorial/funereal services. Like real life, show up at the time or miss it. That’s what’s considered most appropriate.
Beyoncé is not an ally. Actions speak louder than words, Mrs. Carter. #Dubai #$$$
It was on YouTube but they had advised before the memorial the video would not be available after the celebration/service was over. They also requested no photos or videos be taken at the start of the stream.
she’s likely on vocal rest, I’m sure she was there. Considering her husband was.
What a beautiful tribute, especially at the end. Such raw emotions, everyone loved Gavin and he loved everyone back.

But not everyone could watch this live. I'd be very willing to make a donation just to be able to watch this tonight.

What a beautiful memorial. Showcasing not only Gavin's talents but more so the incredible human he was. His light shown beyond bright. Touching speeches from Sara Bareilles, one of his Professors/Mentor, 3 kids of actress Catherine Brunell, each with a story about Uncle Gavin and their annual "Yes" day where no matter what they wanted to do Uncle Gav said yes and they did it. His partner. Celia Keenan Bolger brought us all to tears talking about she and Gavin's journey together right up til the end. Broadway Inspirational Chorus started the event with a powerful rendition of "Sunday" and the emotion from the cast of "Hair" as they beautifully powered thru "Let the Sunshine" was incredible. The memorial ended with a beautiful montage of candid clips of Gavin throughout his career and some childhood footage set to "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" that truly encapsulated his heart, goofiness and overall spirit. He was a treasure. RIP Gavin Creel and thank you thank you thank you for bringing so much joy to Broadway.
There were so many touching moments, but my favorite has to be the emotional outpouring from the cast of Hair. There is an interview, somewhere, of Gavin commenting that when he dies, he wants to be reunited with this cast to be able to perform it again. (I don't think it was part of the tribute - as I'd seen it before yesterday, but my mind might be playing tricks on me.) Makes their being the closing so much more meaningful.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
