NBC tried the same thing with multiple sets with SOM and Peter Pan. FOX is doing it much better.

"Hopelessly Devoted to You" is in the version of this show I just downloaded from Apple Music...so maybe it's coming later in this production.

I think they're really making it work for television, and I am so impressed with the production values. I hope they are recognized at the Emmy awards.

Why are the audience members mostly females? And why aren't the audience members laughing? They are only clapping and cheering.

It's in the 2nd act.

@MaxCrumm: Umm. I think the age difference on this cast is even larger than ours was! @MaxCrumm @GoGrease True that.

Yes, "Hopelessly" is coming later. There is no way they would cut it....it received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song and it was a huge hit.
I love the way they incorporated "Those Magic Changes" to reflect the changes Danny was making to win Sandy over.....sheer brilliance in adapting the material!

I didn't see the latest revival, so I'm not sure what I'm looking at here. Are many of these updates from that version? Or are they original to this television adaptation?

"My best guess is that they aren't hearing the dialogue the same way we are since the actors are playing to camera and not the audience.

I'm LOVING this. A few of my opinions:
Aaron looks too old, I love Vanessa, I can't stand Keke's acting, I love Carlos, this is 10x better than NBC...I think the live audience is really adding a lot to it. Grease Lightning was the best. and DIDI CONN! Yes!

I'm watching it on Canadian TV - I'm behind the rest of you cause I started about 30 minutes in and I'm watching on PVR (so I could skip commercials!). I just watched Greased Lightning and I notice that they cut the sound for a few seconds. At first I thought it was a technical glitch, but I rewound and it seemed intentional...a few words before the "Draggin' Wagon" line. What was the line? I'm very curious what was considered ok for FOX but too racy for Canadian audiences!

The production values and direction are really quite, quite impressive especially when you throw in a rain storm for the outside pieces. I have to give them credit. Huge sets, crane shots, dolly shots, costume changes...even trick costume changes! Kudos.

I think I'd like to see Carly tackle Audrey (Little Shop) in a few years or so.
