No, you're fine! Somehow my message...disappeared? Weird. Well, I'll rewrite it.
I sat at the table next to TR, so I assume most of the interaction would be the same for you. Here's just some random stuff I remember:
1.) Lucas Steele comes out and gives you pierogi during the preshow, and gives the little spiel about how you're seated in a high traffic area.
2.) You generally just make mountains of eye-contact with performers, and lines are often directed towards you during solo songs (like in Dust and Ashes and No One Else).
3.) During Natasha and the Bolkonskys, Natasha and Mary sit between tables TR and TQ and sing some of their number there. Be attentive when this happens: they'll probably ask you to scoot over!
4.) During Letters, you'll either get a note from Hélène, Sonya, or Josh Canfield (or, if he's out, a swing). There's a stool next to TR that they all sit at during that number. I got one from Sonya.
5.) During the rave bit in The Duel, two ensemble members did "cocaine" at my table.
6.) You get an egg shaker during Balaga, and the actor playing Balaga gave me a high five.
7.) From Pierre and Anatole on, Hélène sits at the aforementioned stool and just sobs until the end of the show. It's insane. Amber Gray is insane. Life is wild.
8.) Nick Choksi has a habit of remembering onstage audience members, so if you stage door he'll probably make a comment if he recognizes you.

Thank you so much! I'm even more excited now. I'm happy I don't run the risk of getting a letter from Heath or Reed because my mom will freak out over their inappropriate ones lol

Wife and I were at TO daughter at TR. Balaga did our preshow warnings. We hit triple crown Pierogi, Letter and Shaker. Everyone at those tables got Pierogi and shaker. Anatole also finished a song with a Vodka shot they place on our table. For most of second act there is a different cast member sitting next to you on a stool. TR had Natasha and Mary's scene in first act on stools next to heir table. As for dancing, the area behind the table is very scuffed up, lots of dancing. Only danger is towards the end your are in the Anatole sweat splash zone. Anatole flirted with my daughter as he described himself during prologue, made her day. Another interesting thing, Daughter was a big fan of search for Elle Wood, Lauren Zakrin is in cast and spent a bunch of time dancing in front of us or sitting next to our table.

That's a danger? They should charge more for that...

Where are the best seats for Sonya interaction? We're big Ingrid Michaelson fans so we're getting tickets for the show in July once she joins the cast.

If I'm not mistaken, Sonya spends a lot of time near the banquettes on stage left (which, if you're looking at the seating chart would be the seats on the right side of the chart). She sings Sonya Alone near the armchairs in row SE, so if you want a close-up view of her solo number, there would also be a good spot. Tables TP, TQ, and TR generally get a decent amount of interaction from everyone in the cast though, so there is also a good spot. Per my memory, when I sat in TQ, Sonya sang the Prologue in near me and also sat on a stool near me during Letters.

Hey guys. I know this isn't related, but I don't know of any other active thread of knowledgable people about this. I saw that a lot of people were allowed to exchange their tickets. My dog just got really sick, and we don't know if he'll be better by the time we have to go to NY. Does anyone have any experience with cancelling tickets in case of an emergency? I know they say they can't, but they also say they can't exchange tickets and people have done that also. Thank you.

I sat in BF 24 (Second from the top, on the left on the aisle) and had a ton of Sonya interaction. She chatted with us for several minutes before the show started, just hanging out there, and when I mentioned I was hoping for a shaker she said "I got you" and ended up plopping the whole basket in my lap and having me hand them out. It was wonderful, and I definitely felt like we got the most Sonya interaction. She remembered me at the stagedoor too, though that may have been because of my fancy hat (THat I wore only before the show, intermission, and afterwards!)
just got BF 6 Stage Left I think for July 15th and hoping I don't regret paying a little extra for them vs Row B of Mezz. Playbill had money off the seats so the $20 difference seemed worth it at the time. Especially since I'm dying to see Ingrid Michaelson. It was one of the last few Banquette seats left. I was hoping for one on the aisle but couldn't find one. Still looking forward to the show!

We saw the show last night. It was amazeballs! We sat in TG 1 & TG 2. My seat was right by the stairs. Cast interaction was great at my seat. View was good. I don't think there is a seat in the house where you can see everything without having to twist your head. I would definitely recommend these seats. I did add a picture in A View From My Seat. I'll post more specific details later, because - New York!! We'll be here for five more days. I've got to go have some more NYC fun! I'll post more on my way home.

You'll definitely get a ton of interaction there, and almost definitely a pierogi and shaker. Letters are more random, though, but you've still got a good chance at one.

I must make a case for Sec 3, Row E of the rear mezz. I sat there tonight and it was a magnificent experience, and maybe it's even the best among the >$100 tickets. There were some incredible interactions with the cast thanks to the runway right in front or it, I got and egg and was thrown a pierogi, the view was very good (except for missing bits of faces at the door because of the lighting and when the actors stood extra close to the orchestra) but amazing overall. I cannot recommend it enough.
Just as an FYI: It seems like the Box Office has been holding pretty strictly to its "seating locations will be at the discretion of the box office" policy for rush. While some on this board have apparently been successful at requesting mezzanine seats for rush (and even a couple of weeks ago the box office was kind enough to explain to me which rush seats remained and where they were), they were pretty nasty to me and others yesterday for even asking about seating locations. I was warned about it by people in front of me on line who've rushed before, but it wasn't until I got to the box office attendant that I experienced just how rude they actually were. When I asked whether certain sections were available, the attendant kept interrupting me with loud "NO"s and talking over me (without even looking at me) saying "this is what we have available". When I asked another clarifying question, the attendant gave me an exasperated stare and stated plainly, "This is what we have available. Do you want it or not?"
All that to say, your mileage WILL vary with with rush ticket seating (people near the front of the rush line got the two seats at Table L!). I got Orchestra B14, which is the front row of the orchestra section, all the way to the right. Much of my view was blocked by those at table and tavern seats (not to mention the mezzanine staircase blocking the entire upstage left stairwell). I probably saw about 70% of the show clearly; I probably understood about 55% of the show clearly (the sound in the front right orchestra is downright awful; the people behind me, who also got rush, were very vocal in their complaints about the sound). At intermission, I wanted to find an upstairs usher to see if there was ANY open mezzanine seat I could take for Act II, but the bathroom lines, people coming down the stairs, and hawkish downstairs ushers kept me from even being able to get upstairs. Thankfully, a couple at the table in front of me didn't come back after intermission so I could see a bit better during Act II. Needless to say, my neck hurt really bad after the show with all the craning I had to do.
Further back in the orchestra (heck, even two seats to the left) would have been significantly better in terms of sight lines. I agree with others on this thread that mezzanine is ideal for seeing the collective action of the show.

While I've never sat in the Orchestra myself (only onstage and the mezz) a lot of my friends who have firmly hold to the assertion that the middle of the Orchestra (~ Row G) and back are just as good views as the mezz for getting a holistic view of the show. But again, that's just word of mouth – I couldn't speak from experience.

Hi all-
I'm taking my aunt to see Great Comet, thanks to one of the discount codes floating around. It'll be her first time and she typically buys via the TKTS booth or TDF, so she's generally not inclined to spend full-price. It'll be my 4th time- once in Orchestra row J and twice in the banquettes. There are some decent front mezz seats, basically in the center (FMEZC Row C, Seat 3) for $108 fees included per ticket, or seats that are the very last small row of the rear mezz (RMEZZ, Section 2, Row H, Seat 2) for $50 per ticket.
Are the front mezz seats better than the rear for someone who's never seen it before? She's in her late 60s, if that makes a difference.
Thanks!
I finally chose my seat for next time! I decided on the banquettes, row BB, and seat 17 (plus my mom at 15!)!
What kind of interaction can I expect from here?

I sat BB17. You will get the opportunity for a pierogi (if you're vocal enough about wanting one). I also got a letter and an egg shaker. Lots of interaction, ensemble members sing lines to you. You also get Lucas or whoever is playing Anatole squeezing to sit next to you during the Russian custom part of The Abduction. He will stare at you during the 'yes, that's the way, it's a Russian custom'. If you're a woman you'll get a kiss on the cheek from him, if you're a guy a fist bump.

High five. I got that seat too. When are you going? I'm doing the evening on August 5th.

Irishgator1, you're likely to have a chandelier blocking part of the upstage view from rear mezz you have to look through to see the doorway. While I think the rear mezz is still a great deal, the center front mezz seats put you right on top of the action.
I sat in BB15 for Dave Malloy's performance post-Tony awards. It's an excellent vantage point for the whole production. The big interaction in the area is Anatole sitting down during "The Abduction," but there generally a lot of acknowledgment from the cast.
It is also probably the best vantage point to watch Grace McLean's track, if you're a fan (and I sure am).

Avoid Orchestra Row A on the right side. These were sold as house seats at $179 each and were possibly the WORST seats in the house. No joke. Couldn't see half of the stage and could only see Josh Groban's head when he stood up from his piano.

I just bought a ticket for a second trip to Comet, and after experiencing the show from the last row of the Mezz I decided to splurge and get a banquette seat. I nabbed Stage Left Row BD, Seat 8. Have others had the show experience from over there?
