It is also probably the best vantage point to watch Grace McLean's track, if you're a fan (and I sure am).

Oooooh that's what I like to hear (Also bought those seats)
Love Marya and everything Grace does with it

Thanks, HSky! I went ahead and upgraded my aunt to those front mezz seats based on your comments.  I'm excited to see it from a new perspective.

As an aside, my 70-something year old parents saw it last night with Dave Malloy (or as my mom kept saying, David Malloy) and they LOVED it.  They had the second to last row rear mezz seats, so I need to ask them about their view. Apparently my dad lunged for a pierogi, but didn't get one. The guy next to him did, though, and remarked to my dad that it looked like he was really trying hard for one and that he deserved it, so he gave my parents his pierogi.  Then when it came time for shakers, my parents were handed some, but my sister had given hers from a previous show to them in case, so they were happy to give the newly received shakers to the man and his girlfriend. Comet love all around!

Family visiting from out of town are Ingrid fans, so is there anywhere specific to sit where you get more Sonya track/attention? Never followed that track as closely in my previous visits...

If you look on the previous page some people have already answered that question.

I think I'm repeating what someone else said, and I only have perspective from the banquettes, but...I've sat stage left, second to last row of banquettes and first row of banquettes, both center aisle and got good Sonya interaction.  She comes out and stands/talks to the upper banquettes before the show- when I was sitting there, she told the section it was her favorite seating and that she asked that her family be seated there when they came.  She also handed me a pierogi.

When I sat in BA, she stations herself right next to you on the staircase quite often and looked a lot/sang to my husband, who had the aisle seat, which I would've been totally jealous, except that I got the cheek nuzzle/ear whisper from Lucas, so that made up for it laugh

I had the chance of seeing this show back in December. Our seats were right along the main isle, probably two or three rows back from the back of the orchestra. We had some interaction, Nicholas Benton (Andrey) played his guitar to me, Amber Grey (Helen) did "cheers" with our area during the abuction, most of the main cast walked past us, and we had interactions with multiple ensemble members. I'd recommend these seats!!

Interesting. I don't remember there being a main isle in this production. wink

Just wanted to throw my seating experience out there. I've seen the show 3 times (all via rushing)-

All of my seats have been extremely far house left (last 2 seats in the row). Once I was around 5th row orchestra, once I was first row, and another I actually ended up with table seats right by the bar on house left (first in line for the rush)

Overall, the 5th row seats were best because 1st row and table seats were extremely blocked by the people directly in front of me and the stage itself. Still amazing through obviously. But 5th row I definitely got a fuller view of the stage, even if it was completely on the side.

However, with the table seat there was LOTS of interaction. It was the first time I received an egg shaker. The ensemble is RIGHT THERE lots of the time, dancing at your table. I got a wink and a kiss blown from Lucas. I also received a letter. So it really depends on what you want to experience.

So, if you're thinking of rushing, not being first in line may actually be beneficial as you will be sitting further back in the orchestra

Lottery tix were consistent with reports - Rear left mezz, B1 & 2. It's a shame those aisle railings are so tall! Right in my sightline, but I made do. What a deal for $39! I had no idea how incredible Josh Groban is, WOW. Got an egg shaker too, that was definitely the most fun. Definitely feeling pretty lucky to have snuck this in only a week before Josh's departure.

How are the banquette seating on the "outer" aisles - seats like BB1, BE2, etc?

Is there any interaction in these seats? possible pierogie/shaker territory?

i'm a huge fan of comet! I've seen it twice - once in the lower stage right tables, and once in the rear mezz.

the lower stage right tables, i believe, were already talked about a bit on this thread. they're not exactly on stage, but they are above the orchestra. now, i know that some people had complaints, but i LOVED it! i got a lot of interaction! a dumpling was thrown to me by the amazing nick choksi, and i got an egg shaker! Denée came over to that area a lot. in the prologue, lucas came over to our section during the second chorus and i nearly fainted. plus, pierre walked by our section in the prologue, which might be the only time in the show where he leaves the area surrounding his salon. also, a highlight of this section is gelsey bell singing to you in letters! i made eye contact w a lot of ensemble members too. i would really recommend anywhere in that section.

i also saw it in the very front row of the right rear mezz. a lot of people hear "rear mezz" and think that the seats aren't very good, but i had an awesome time! i didn't get a dumpling, but the people next to me did. being right in front of a major walkway, i had a lot of interaction. i talked to one of the ensemble members named brad pre show, who recognized my friend and i at the stage door. (it was his bway debut! congrats brad!) as well as an ensemble member named celia. they were both very kind. we also got a cool view in the opera. when the actual opera is over and denée sings, the opera singers (played by gelsey bell and paul pinto) come up into the mezz and continue it! for the majority of that section gelsey bell was right in front of me. the illuminati section of the opera, when the ensemble comes out in hooded cloaks holding candles and fake daggers, was cool, because they walked right past us! it was funny because my friend and i were focusing on brittain and denée and then these creepy hooded figures were in front of us all of a sudden. dust and ashes was awesome because during the part where the cast joined in, a good chunk of the cast came to the walkway in a huge line to sing. we didn't get a letter, and i don't think anyone in the right rear mezz did. but letters are really random. the balaga/abduction sequence brittain ashford danced in front of us for the majority of it. gelsey bell came by a lot too. the people in my row ended up without egg shakers, but gelsey came by and offered her egg shaker to anyone without one.

the things that i have mentioned in this post aren't even half of the cool moments that i witnessed. i plan on seeing it again soon in the seat where lucas puts his arm around you during the abduction (i'm a pretty big fanatole if you couldn't tell lol)

if anyone wants to know anything about certain sections, please ask me! Iike most people in this thread, i'm very passionate about the seating chart lol.

I had the great good fortune to see the show for a third time last night - and returned to the seats that I've loved each time:  the Banquette seating.   Last night we had 4 tickets:  BB and BC on the inner aisle.

I don't know that I'll see the show again (though the cast recording is frequently played), but, I can't say enough about the joy of sitting in those particular seats during this incredible show.

After much debate and hours looking through this thread, I bought seats at TS, and it was incredible! I got everything I hoped for--a lot of up-close with Josh Groban, and huge amounts of interaction from the other members of the cast. I got the pierogi, egg shaker, and Brittain Ashford gave me Sonya's letter! I got a wink form Lucas at one point too. I felt totally immersed in the show. Shoba Narayan was on as Natasha, and although I was sad to miss Denee, I thought that Shoba did a beautiful job. She sang right to me several times. Overall it was an amazing experience, and I wish I could go back and see it from another perspective too.

Thank you to everyone who has commented on this thread. It has made selecting seats so much easier. I initially had Orchestra seats but after reading through this thread I decided it would be much more fun and immersive to be on the stage. I wouldn't have even known exchanging the seats would be a possibility until I read others' experiences on this thread.

I called Telecharge and they were happy to help me switch my seats. I moved to the banquettes - BA (stage right) on the inner aisle - seats 9 and 11. Can't wait!  Thanks again!

My wife and I have the very same seats for August 1st! I've heard some say that row is literally the best spot in the house. I cannot wait!

I believe that is where the producer of the show sat for Josh's final performance, FYI.

Hi everyone! I'm going to buy tickets soon for TGC (first time) and I'm wondering what the best orchestra seats are for the best views and performer-audience interaction? I've been looking for aisle seats around mid-orchestra (around Row L-ish).

Are those good seats? What can I expect in terms of performer-audience interaction in that area (aisle seat)? Thank you for your advice and saving me from reading this entire thread lol!

No specific reason, I guess. On-stage tickets are a bit out of my price range and from what I've seen it looks like there's audience interaction with Orchestra seats. I'll look into Front Mezzanine tickets if they're better than Orchestra seats.
