Any insight from rear orchestra? Have tickets for October in Row P, but tagging along with a friend next week for row U, seats 25-27?
"

I saw the show last Saturday from the balcony, but I went down to the orchestra to check it out. I was shocked at how great the view from even the last row looked. We've gotten so used to looking at pics and seating charts that make everything look SO big, while, in person, everything looks much smaller and, for lack of a better word, tighter, and less expansive. I think row U will be great!

Row U is perfect! I sat Row V on Sunday and loved those seats!!

To be fair I also enjoy the Row Y & Z seat experience too

I won the Friday Forty last week and seats were Orchestra Row H towards the center, great seats! My sister got a ticket row A of the dress circle for the same performance and we traded for one of the acts. I preferred the orchestra seats and she preferred dress circle. Was definitely jealous of all the leg room in row K! That would be my ideal seat.

Also someone mentioned that the lottery tickets were given out first come first served. This is not true My tickets were already dispersed in an envelope with my name on them so picking them up when the box office opened served no purpose.

Just returned a $354 single ticket for May 10th/May 11th Balcony Row A Seat 101!

A family member wanted to join me so I ended up swapping that lucky seat for ORCH Row B seat 2-4....

Saw some comments that it might be too close to the stage and is a little worried. Any thoughts?

Thank you!

Congrats on winning the Friday 40!  What type of ID did you need to get the tickets?  Does it have to be a government-issued ID or would a regular work ID (with photo) or credit card (with photo) suffice?

Forgive me if this is old news, but it looks like a bunch of seats have just opened up for June into early July. It's now a sea of green, where I'm pretty sure it was all sold-out-red just a couple of days ago. I spot-checked a couple of dates and noted non-premium $199 seats on both days.

There is now another price range called mid-premium, though its only 50 cheaper than premium, so if you are going to splurge might as well go all the way

I was in A1 and thought it was fine... like two things happen aboveish and behindish, but nothing to the point that you will wish you were further back.

The "Latest Ticket Update" box on Ticketmaster now says, "Great seats available for performances through July 11, 2018." If their pattern continues, they'll send out an email tomorrow with the same message, which will change the queue from 1 person to 1,000, in matter of minutes.

Just got home from Part 1. As my husband said, the writing is like really bad fan fiction, but we were both really impressed with most of the actors and all of the stage magic. Give that lighting designer an award, wow. It feels like they spent a lot of money on this, but in such a refined way. So stunning.

McGonagall certainly sticks out like a sore thumb though. Hoo boy, what a terrible accent.

About our seats, with a booster cushion I have a perfect full view of the stage from row Y in the Orch, but it’s just so far from the stage. I’d really encourage anyone to sit in front of the mezzanine overhead if possible. Its certainly not terrible by any means, just felt a little too far. It’s the most expensive not great seat in a theater I’ve ever purchased :-P

I have an orchestra seat X9 which I bought in February. Is it a good seat? I saw that there’s a pillar in the rear rows of orchestra and now I’m scared that it’ll obstruct my view. Can anyone say anything about view from that seat?

Is it possible to exchange ticket for a better one or do I need to return this one and buy a new?

And my biggest problem which prevents me from doing anything: every time I check the site I get the same error #10000. I can’t even see what seats are available for the dates I want. I tried different devices, different connections and nothing works. Can anyone help?

There is only a pillar right next to row x 3. I sat row x 1 and it was a perfect view!!! The overhang doesn’t block anything and it’s far enough to really enjoy the effects. I posted a link to pictures from the view. But I’ll share the link again here. I uploaded a picture showing where the pillar is for reference

Unlike notreallysilent 2 said I would actually be cautious of that seat because the pole is at row U so it is in front of you. I haven't personally sat in it but if you look at the photos they provided you are on the opposite side (further from the aisle) that I could see where that pole would be obstructing some of the stage, especially stage left. Now if this helps more action on the stage happens on the stage right which you should be fine seeing.

Now as returning or switching it depends on how close your tickets are, but I would call ticketmaster (or go to the box office if you're local) and see what they can do.

I would definitely try to get different seats. I had a seat in row Y, and the pillar does indeed block the view. I was lucky enough to get moved down to row J right before the show started (the ushers offered, and I gladly accepted). For Part 2, I was back in row Y again with the pillar blocking the right side of the stage. Luckily, the person beside me didn’t show up, so I was able to move one seat over and had an unobstructed view.

No matter how many of us say we exchanged for a better seat, that always means buying a new one and returning an old one.

Is there a thread to discuss the actual show? Can’t seem to find one.

Just reporting back after seeing the show last weekend. We had Dress Right A 10-12. View and legroom were great. I was hoping the renovations would have made way for a bit wider seats but sadly not. I had inquired a while back about the bar height on the ledge and can indeed confirm that it does not get in the way at all (and I am short). I liked the location for a lot of the spectacle that I won't spoil here but it is a large theater and I think if I went back I would try to get something closer in the orchestra. Overall, a great location to see this show from.

Scored tickets for a Sunday July 29. Thanks, again, you are the best CT2NYC! I’m going to try and get a Potter fan pal to drive us down from Toronto for the weekend! If not, I’m sure someone on here would be more than happy to take the tickets off my hands!

Am I doing something wrong or am I just too late? I can never seem to find these cheap seats, and I’ve been trying since tickets were released. Any tips for me? I’m usually pretty good at getting tickets, but no luck for HP so far. Oh, and thank you for the heads up!!

ps if anyone could email me or text me when these $40 tickets get released next, I will mail you a cake and a thank you card!!
