I loved her as Glinda when I saw the show in Chicago, can't wait to see her here in NYC!

Posted: 5/5/06 at 12:08pmYes, I saw the tour when I was it was in Chicago last year in May. I saw the Chicago sit down production in December. And will see it again in a few weeks (on May 27th).

I thought I read somewhere that Kendra was supposed to come back? Hence why she is staying with the tour?

Posted: 5/5/06 at 12:49pmWell, personally, since there are multiple companies around, it makes sense for them to "try them out" on the road before performing on broadway. They didn't have that luxury in the past, but now they do. I'd be surprised to see a "newby" announced for the Broadway production going forward, unless it's a star stepping in for a short run.

Posted: 5/5/06 at 2:55pmAlthough I had never seen "Wicked" prior to the Chicago engagement, so I have no basis of comparison other than the OBC, I thought Reinders was awesome in her role. She totally stole the show from Ana Gasteyer.

Why pay for new costumes when you can have someone do the job who already has them?

I saw her in Chicago as well and just loved her.I am happy that she is going to be back on the great white way ...she belongs here!

Julia isn't on Broadway though (yet). What they are saying is that they continually have people go to Broadway from the tour, or promote the standbys.
Eden and Julia both leave their roles around the same time...so, Julia could end up being the next Broadway Elphaba.
