Yes, I saw the tour when I was it was in Chicago last year in May. I saw the Chicago sit down production in December. And will see it again in a few weeks (on May 27th).

As someone I know (hint, hint), really likes Kate, I'm wondering if I have to return to the Broadway company and see the show again....

I'm very excited for this. Kate was out when I saw the show in Chicago last September and I was very disappointed. At least now I'll go back to the bway company and see her.

Megan is doing Vanities in Palo Alto from June 21st through July 16th. Prior to that, I think she's just going to take a vacation and relax.

However, when will they get someone who has never played the roles of Glinda and Elphaba before (not counting JLT) to play these characters?

Well, personally, since there are multiple companies around, it makes sense for them to "try them out" on the road before performing on broadway. They didn't have that luxury in the past, but now they do. I'd be surprised to see a "newby" announced for the Broadway production going forward, unless it's a star stepping in for a short run.

Kate got great reviews in Chicago and was nominated for a Jeff Award. She's a supper sweet person too. I can't wait to see her.

Although I had never seen "Wicked" prior to the Chicago engagement, so I have no basis of comparison other than the OBC, I thought Reinders was awesome in her role. She totally stole the show from Ana Gasteyer.

Why pay for new costumes when you can have someone do the job who already has them?

I saw her in Chicago as well and just loved her.I am happy that she is going to be back on the great white way ...she belongs here!

Julia isn't on Broadway though (yet). What they are saying is that they continually have people go to Broadway from the tour, or promote the standbys.

Eden and Julia both leave their roles around the same time...so, Julia could end up being the next Broadway Elphaba.
