Not if you saw him backstage --- where he would frequently walk around completely naked. Nothing "disappointing" in that department!
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I was a little surprised by that, too, but hopefully it will lead to a career boost for a lot of these performers! Corbin will be great, and it's good to see that Roundabout's casting is more diverse than some of its recent productions. Warren Carlyle is loyal with his core dancers -- lots of DOLLY crossover!
I'l be curious to see what Amanda Green does with the book. It looks like the character Paul who sings Too Darn Hot isn't listed, so maybe that goes to a different character now?
Has it been reported before this that Amanda Green is contributing "additional material" to the show? I assume that means she'll be revising some lines and lyrics? Why?

From Broadway Briefing: "Amanda Green...will contribute additional material to the book... Green will not be writing new music nor changing the structure of the show, according to a press representative, but her contributions are meant to add a more modern sensibility to the musical."
Bringing on yet another set of book revisions to make it less sexist - coupled with some painfully strained casting decisions with a Cole Porter musical about a theater company in the 1940’s putting on a musical based on a Shakespeare play - make it seem like this revival is apologizing for its very existence before it even opens.
I don’t blame them however. The Stokes-Mazzie production was perfection, and this is bad timing for a revival of this piece.

That could only be surpassed by one thing:
Seeing Will Chase walk around backstage completely naked.
It does seem like an ill-timed revival, even if they are updating it. None of the cast is wildly exciting to me. I love Corbin, but I honestly find Stephanie Styles extremely bland and I was hoping for someone a little different for that role.
I’m not crazy about the show art but i don’t hate it completely.
Also a reminder that I’m selling 2 tickets for May 12 at 3pm. Tickets are located in a row D of the orchestra and I’m selling for $370 in total. Will mail them to you
Sigh...why won't they use the beautiful artwork from the benefit concert? It was wonderful and everything for the actual production looks hideous.
Also, "humans" are so simple? ....I don't know about that. The song was iffy, but that was because the original Shakespearean speech was a little off. I think changing the Shakespearean lines is possibly crossing a line and I think good direction could make the show work today. If they're that insecure about it, why are they even doing this show at all?
