Roxy's being such a vulture right now!
I love Doug Sills and hope he returns to Broadway again soon.
That was quicker than I thought. I also thought Dr. Zhivago would be first.
"Before the pinto bean sees it????"
Do you think he'll claim he never thought it would be a big hit after it closes?? And that it would definitely pick up and so many opera fans will buy tickets to see Renee?

He's commented on other posts since this has been announced. He's oddly silent right now...
Well, most operas at the Met are performed less than 25 times in a season - so this is about par for Fleming.
I mean, it was a horrible show so.........
Now no one else has to suffer through this crap. If you must there are still plenty of comps available for every remaining performance.
I thought the show was great. I saw it last week. Sad to see that it never got traction. It was worth seeing for Sills alone.
This is the show I thought would go first.
I think Dr. Z will hang on through summer. It has deep pockets.
Taz, I don't know about that. I saw the show the other night and this is what the mezz looked like when the lights came up for intermission. And keep in mind they've partitioned off the entire back half of the mezz.

Oh, wow. That's pretty bad. How was the orchestra?
The orchestra looked full (all I could see were the first 10 or so rows, though).
omg Jordan.
I had no idea it was doing that poorly.
I wonder if they'll still record it.

I don't know what to do. I feel so awful I don't think I can make it through an almost 3 hour musical, even if it was something I know that I'd love. And yet I don't want Doctor Zhivago to close before I can see it.
Lol, right?
It's the kind of show I'd probably really love listening to but hate sitting through.
If only LIVING ON LOVE could have held out until the Tony nominations were announced, it would have changed EVERYTHING.
^LOL
Taz, I told my friend there that I think it will actually play better on CD than actually watching it live. lol

How many times could I cough during Zhivago before they kicked me out? Maybe I could time it with the gunshots.
