"Idina would be such a ridiculously fantastic Yitz that is hurts my soul we'll never get to see it"
Right? Physical pain.
Can you just imagine "Midnight Radio?"

Guys I'm pretty sure JCM is done with this, the dude seriously injured himself a week into his run, I think he's kind of closed the book on this chapter of his life.

Is Michael C. Hall free for 6-8 weeks?
He isn't an amazing singer, but he's so sexy it won't matter. Until it's confirmed, it's just a rumor though.
Maybe Andrew would come back and do it for 6-8 weeks. That's not a very long commitment, and if he's between jobs, money is money.
Taye Diggs is either going to be the next Hedwig or he wants people to think he's going to be the next Hedwig and idk which is worse

You follow a fictional character on a show that hasn't been on the air in over two years?
Interesting.... I might see this.
JCM has stated that now he has done the role again, he could do it again after his stint this past winter. I would put money on him returning to do the ~6 week gap. He also said that his leg was pretty healed and he didn't need the brace anymore, but chose to wear it since he had changed the show for it.
I definitely think JCM will do it again at some point, but isn't How to Talk to Girls at Parties beginning filming around that time?
I really hope they add a nod to Hurt Locker: The Musical!
That 6-8 week gap is when I would be in the city, so if JCM does return, It would be a dream come true.
I missed JCM last time due to financial constraints, so I'd love another chance to see him this summer.
I wonder if Andrew will be tied to promotional commitments for 'The Intern.'
Maybe Neil will return!
I wouldn't be surprised if Taye Diggs wants to come back for more than professional reasons -- I think his little boy (Wawwkuh, as Idina pronounces his name
lives with Idina a lot or most of the time.
The one thing that causes me to scratch my head over this potential casting announcement is that, unlike other folks on this board, I don't think that Taye Diggs looks particularly like a woman. OTOH, I could pass him on the street and not recognize him, so it's possible that I'm swayed by the fact that he often wears his head shaved and he's currently got facial hair.

Uh Wilson Jermaine Herredia is in no way a big enough name.
But in regards to Taye doing the show to be closer to Idina and his son, I'm not so sure. She's touring the world all throughout the summer and then pretty immediately moving onto touring the west coast with If/Then. If anything, being committed to a show in NYC would make seeing his son that much harder.
But ya know... What do I know?
Unless, of course, HE'S going to stay with the kid while she goes off.
When was the last time Taye was in a Broadway show? Wicked right? Would be cool to see him return to Broadway.
""Very exciting! And he'd be the first Hurt Locker alum to step in as Hedwig. :)"
Oh my goodness...that would be so good to work in somehow. "
Not to mention that "Idina was better in the role" is one of the lines. Har har.
And re: Walker - Idina's talking him on tour with her, at least for segments of the tour.
Taye Diggs would be a great Hedwig. I'm excited to hear an official announcement.
I've been fortunate to see every Hedwig in this production except for Andrew.
Since Darren's sales are pretty bad, I don't think they'll anounce anytime soon. They want people to see Darren, not wait and see Taye. Because if sales keep at the rate they're at, Taye may never get to perform.
I think Diggs would get people in the theater. Criss' sales may start to climb once school's let out next month.
