Well hopefully it works out better for him than it did for Ms McDonald last season
So a regular member wrote earlier today that an entire day's worth of posts had been deleted from this thread. Now that post itself is gone.
I must have missed something big. Can anyone describe it in sufficiently vague terms to survive moderator scrutiny?

I’ll just PM you.
It was about whether Charity Dawson is faking her illness to drop out of the show once she saw all the work she’d be doing for a small role. It wasn’t anything controversial really, some people just started unnecessarily name calling. I made a joke about Boris being a Russian, and then somebody else called him a Russian troll farm bot. And something about people breathing or not

What a gorgeous and diverse cast. Wishing them all the praise, and boquet's they and this work deserves.
Ok after looking at the reels on their Insta I'm getting excited.
I didn't realize Teddy Tascioni was in this! (aka Ben Levi Ross)
Does Lincoln Center do online lotteries or a rush for their Broadway shows? Can't remember ever doing one previously.

Yes, the last several shows in the Beaumont--Floyd Collins, McNeal, Uncle Vanya, Camelot--all had online lotteries.

Thanks for the clip, GOOD LORD.

In case you missed it over the weekend, they posted a clip of "He Wanted To Say" with Joshua Henry, Shaina Taub, Ben Levi Ross. I was on the fence before but after hearing this I bought my ticket for November. Can't wait!

Entries for the digital lottery open at 12:00 a.m. one day before each performance, with winners drawn at 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. the same day. Winners may purchase up to two tickets at $49 each, inclusive of fees. More information is available at lctlottery.com

$49 is the price norm at the moment for Broadway lottery and rush.
Sutton Ross where did you get that fake painting from? It’s not from a real impressionist that’s for sure

Will this production transfer to Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles after its limited run at Lincoln Center?

I’m very excited for this production (seeing it in November). But there were three performances - those given Marin Mazzie, Audra and Judy Kaye in the original that are so iconic that the clips feel…good but not great. BSM was iconic too but Joshua Henry is so good and he sounds so great in the clips that I’m excited to see what he can bring to the role. (I did not see the first Broadway revival.). I’m curious how other people feel.

This version has performances in different roles that are also iconic. Nobody is replacing Audra’s Sarah, but this version’s Coalhouse, Tateh and Brother were the ones that stood out for me at City Center as powerful and heartbreaking. The women stole the original and the men will steal this one.

Yeah I saw it at city center. Most performers were not on the same level as OBC.
i would add the Younger Brother (Steven Sutcliffe) as one of the iconic performance as well. That voice was electrifying and transcending , which in this production BLR cannot match to.
I’m too young to have the chance to see the original Broadway production, but I was lucky enough to get to see the reunion concert - hearing Sutcliffe sing live was a blessing.

I was twelve and so overwhelmed by the experience that it is a visceral, vivid memory still all these years later. I remember actually screaming when
[SPOILER ALERT::::::: they shot Coalhouse:::::::::::::END SPOILER].
I cried most of the car ride home to Long Island. My mom did too. It remains one of the most important theatre going experiences of my life.
I cannot wait to see this in a few weeks. I missed the revival by days when they announced closing so am very excited to be able to catch this one.
I confess, I will really miss that opening choreography. It's deceptive - seemingly simple but such complex storytelling happening.
Anyway, to all attending first preview, enjoy!!!!

Probably not!
I’m sure a Broadway extension option is written into their contracts if the demand is there (I kinda doubt the demand will be there).
Curious about David Korins’ set for this one and how they use that huge space.
I felt like this production at city center and Josh Henry really comes across as the villain. Sarah seems like a reckless mental case. This production is so bad, it makes the black characters seem truly evil and you feel no sympathy for them at the end. Everyone said this. Cassie levy is a lost lamb on stage like always, and Brandon Uranowitz stole the whole show

Whatever you say, Skippy.
