Rebecca Caine's high B at the end of "Heart Full of Love" on the Les Mis OLC. I love that woman.
Phantom OLC - The transition from "the" to "night" at the very end. "Let the dream begin.....that I write" from the OLC Highlights CD is one of my favorite musical moments of all time.
Wicked has a few.....Defying Gravity, Idina releases on the last note just a split second after the chorus, and you can hear here really wailing, plus its a nice release. Her first "No good deed" is cool, cuz its really focused and intense. I also love her last "do"...its just so evil.
On the Hairspray OBC, right before Mary Bond Davis comes in for her "You cant stop...", the band does a really cool little ditty to get back into the chorus.
On The Light in the Piazza OBC i think the singular most beautiful piece of music in the show is "Clara's Interlude"
Now, i guess its not my favorite part because i love the actual songs soooo so so much, but its the part that consistently brings tears to my eye, and when i saw the show was just plain amazing.
I just always thought it was weird that that moment in particular strikes me so much
In "Titanic: The Musical", there is a line at the very beginning where one of the Kate's say "It's not fate, it's Irish". I just love that line and granted since I do have alot of Irish heritage (and am somewhat fatalistic) I have adopted it as a mantra in life (granted I have a few of them). It definately is one of those 'little moments' in a show that make me happy for no real reason, but dang, I love it making me happy all the same!
Les Miz-OBC "I know this is no place for me, still, I would rather be with you..."-Eponine, and all of Frances Ruffelle's On My OWn on the OLC Sunday in the Park-OBC "George's stroke is tender... george's touch is beauty"-Dot West Side Story-OBC "I like the island Manhattan" Sweeney- any- "I loved you, even as I saw you..." -Johanna Assasins-Broadway "hunt me down... smear my name, say I did it for the fame" and "now the south land can mend..." -Booth those are my very favorites... but there are loads more...
Edit: Spring Awakening-"I'll tell my soul 'just kill some time...'"-Moritz it makes me want to cry every time i hear it...

ATTENTION FANS: I will be played by James Barbour in the upcoming musical, "BroadwayWorld: The Musical."
In Wicked when Butz sings "Maybe I'm brainless". Sooo beautiful. And his opening versus in "Dancing Through Life".
The intro of "Prayer" in The Scarlet Pimpernel. Too bad the song doesn't follow through, but I love the music!
When Anthony Rapp sings "But I am over her" in Christmas Bells in RENT. And the bridge in "What You Own". I just love the harmonies.
"I love spelling too..." from "Why We Like Spelling" in 25th Annual...
In the original Assassins, after Lee Harvey Oswald shoots JFK and there is that moment of silence as the shot dies down, and then it goes into the music really loudly. Gets me every time! Unfortunately this moment was removed when "Something Just Broke" was added.
When the finale in Seussical when into "Oh the things you can think" really slowly and speeds up. I LOVE that!
When Butz says "That's not fair" in "A Miracle Would Happen" in L5Y
"Ah well... Every day a little death" all the way to the end of the song in A Little Night Musical
"Brian, buddy, where you been? The term is Asian-American!" and "Sticks and stones, Kate Monster" from Avenue Q
"Go, can't you go..." from Company
"Trace, I wanna kiss you!", "Then I can't wait for parole" from Hairspray
The beats in "Who Loves You" at the end of Jersey Boys.
The narrator's off-beat "grovel"s in "Grovel, Grovel" from Joseph...
In the OBC of Les Mis when Jean Valjean sings "I'm Jean Valjean" and it goes to strings. Great moment!
In the LSoH in "Skid Row" when Audrey stops singing and Seymour suddenly comes in with "Poor" and the chorus in "The Meek Shall Inherit"
In Little Women, at the end of "The Weekly Volcano Press" when it breaks from the troll scene to Jo singing "Sometimes When You Dream" and "I am her sister!!!" from the same song.
In the original Pacific Overtures, in "Poems" when they both sing "Leaves... I love her like the leaves!"
In Parade when it switches from "Come Up to My Office" back "The Factory Girls" and the beginning of "People From Atlanta" up until "Just and true reward" and the the final of round of "No, no" in "That's what he said" as the ensemble is yelling to hang Leo.
When the girls sing "Not one of ours" in "Coalhouse Demands" in Ragtime. And of course "I know how to blow things up". Priceless! - (thanks bwaylv)
The chorus of "Not That Kind of Thing" in The Wedding Singer and the "Oh-oh-oh"s at the end of "It's Your Wedding Day"
In the "Act I Finale" of Urinetown when Bobby and Hope sing together. Again, great harmonies. And Bobby's first verse in "Why Did I Listen to That Man?"
"I'm not good. I'm not bad. I'm something in between!" From You're a Good Man Charlie Brown.
On The Producers movie recording, there are a bunch. Like hearing echos from the mics of them giggling and stuff. And in Keep it Gay, after Leo says "gay?" and when Roger says "Exactly" oh my god, it's so, delightfully creepy.
or am I not moving at all all alone now no one is watching us why not climb over the wall take me and give me your all! groping my way towards an unstated goal don't know where I'm going but feels like I've been there BEFORE SHOULD you take the lead shouldn't I follow shouldn't you feel the need my heart is hollow I know where I heading I'm on the right track no stopping now no turning back I want what she's got what I'm feeling she's got everything he's not yet feeling with me I am yours you are mine its a sin its divine! SO DIVINE WHERE IS MINE!!!
THE MUSIC IS INCREDIBLE!!!!
When someone blunders, we say that he makes a misstep. Is it then not clear that all the ills of mankind, all the tragic misfortunes that fill our history books, all the political blunders, all the failures of the great leaders have arisen merely from a lack of skill in dancing. - Moliere
The London revival recording of Company: In "You Could Drive a Person Crazy", there is that small break where they chatter. At the last second before the singing picks back up, one girl shouts a very petulant "I hate you!" that cracks me up every time.
"What can you expect from a bunch of seitan worshippers?" - Reginald Tresilian
Raoul (Steve Barton): "Show some compassion!" Erik (The Phantom)MC: "The WORLD showed no compassion to ME!"
WHAT IS THIS FEELING? from WICKED- Idina Menzel as Elphaba: "Blonde."
"TO LOVE ANOTHER PERSON IS TO SEE THE FACE OF GOD"- LES MISERABLES---
"THERE'S A SPECIAL KIND OF PEOPLE KNOWN AS SHOW PEOPLE... WE'RE BORN EVERY NIGHT AT HALF HOUR CALL!"--- CURTAINS
any part in either of the "Kiss Me"s where Johanna and Anthony are singing over each other. Where Anthony is singing "Johanna" and Johanna is singing "i loved you even as i saw you...."
-the harmony section "Up the steep and very narrow stairway" Chorus Line OBC -Final chorus of "God That's Good" Sweeney Todd OBC -the final high B's in "Ragtime" Ragtime OBC -final chorus (and chords) "One Day More" Les Miz OLC/OBC -"Children & Art" all of it SITPWG OBC -"Twin Soliloquies" South Pacific OBC -the final string of high belted E's in "New Argentina" Evita OBC -Hermione Gingold's interpretation of "Liaisons" from A Little Night Music OBC. -"Look What Happened to Mabel" Mack & Mabel OBC -"Writing On the Wall" - Betty Buckley's finale - DROOD OBC -"Moonfall" duet reprise - DROOD OBC. were there 2 finer voices on Broadway than Howard McGillan and Patti Cohenhour tearing this piece apart? I'm just blown away every time.
There are so many. Though most of these are showy moments, I do love the subtle ones as well. Updated On: 4/20/07 at 04:16 PM
From A Chorus Line revival, anything Mara Davi sings! Her voice is amazing! Charlotte D'Amboise singing "Those stage and movie people got their because they're special." I always get chills from that since I've been told that myself.
From Aida, the beginning of "The Gods Love Nubia" that has none or very little orchestrations.
From Rent, in "Seasons of Love" when Gwen Stewart hits that high note. Beautiful!
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
I have 2 from Side Show that I just love -In Say Goodbye to the Freakshow when the twins say" Yes! Say Yes Please Come Along!" It is perfect! -Something that gives me chills is in Tunnel of Love is sung by Alice Ripley "I want mine! Where is Mine!" IS AMAZING she is belting the sh*t out of it.
