I just really hope that Tammy Blanchard does not return. Her performance was so strange, and while it worked for some people on here, it left me baffled. Excited to see who they announce!
^ 100%. I cringe whenever I hear her on my cast recording. Would love to see Megan Hilty come back to NYC for a few months, she was a stunning Audrey.

I'd love to see a less traditional casting of Audrey- didnt see Blanchard, but kudos to MJ Rodriguez and that production for taking Audrey in a totally different direction from Ellen Greene, whose performance can't be matched.
Leslie Kritzer? Rebecca Naomi Jones? Solea Pfeiffer?

I remember Almost Famous being talked about a lot right before the shutdowns... if they’re still getting a Broadway transfer, Solea Pfeiffer might not be available for LSOH if she’s still going to be Penny Lane.
I know I’m in the minority but I’ll be crushed it Blanchard doesn’t continue with the production. I thought she was the highlight of a really lovely, fun revival. She gave a marvelous performance.

I liked her as well. I'd prefer the orig cast on return. Groff was incredible...like a Gumby the way he laid around on the floor and slopping mess all over himself. He and Tammy looked like an odd couple, but I think oddity is the whole context of the show.

She just wanted to play against the traditional take on the role. I'm always for performers taking risks, but her approach just didn't fit this staging at all.
I'd love to see Megan Hilty play the part. I didn't really care for Tammy on the recording. Nothing against, her. We saw her as Louise in "Gypsy". Just enjoy more of the traditional take on the part. Saw the Broadway production with Foster and Butler. Looking forward to seeing who comes in. We are going in December!

Blanchard is returning. Just what I feared.
Ah well, at least I will see Jeremy and Christian. Looking forward.
Ah. I’ll wait until they hopefully get a new Audrey down the line, then. I love Tammy as an actress, but that’s a role I want to hear really sung to its full potential.

Unsurprisingly, it looks like at least some seats and dates have had their prices raised after the cast announcement. I bought tickets a few days ago for $69 before fees and that same section on the same day is $89 now.

I’m curious why Kingsley Leggs and Kris Roberts aren’t returning. Updated On: 5/14/21 at 06:10 PM

O also really liked Tammy’s performance. I thought she felt like someone who actually grew up on Skid Row. I feel like Ellen based on the movie, despite her definitive performance, feels like someone from a slightly different world than Skid Row.

Did Jeremy get to perform it before COvid?
Nope, he was like a week shy of performing it for the first time.
Looking to schedule first part of April. Anyone think Jeremy or Christian will have moved on by then?
Got my ticket for Saturday, September 25th, evening performance. Seeing the first "Moulin Rouge" performance the day before. This will be fun!

The new Broadway ticketing legislation (that won't go anywhere beyond its initial press release) would have made that illegal.

Jeremy has never stayed that long on or off Broadway in over a decade. He will have moved on far before April.
