He lived in Doylestown. His house is now a museum and bed and breakfast. Should I ever meet the right guy I would definitely consider it as a wedding location.

Uh, this part makes me cry. Watching them march off...
Thanks Eris. I was sure it was somewhere in Pennsylvania. I read it in the Sondheim book ealier in the year but couldn't remember. I was thinking that's where the Ardmore reference came from.
rjm, the same thing happened to me in the theater! I didn't say "Oh my God" but my chuckle drew attention.
I'm always surprised how much I love Li Jun Li. She has so little dialogue, but is very captivating.
That was really fantastic.
I can literally see the Hammerstein place from my house. Im looking at it right now. I take any opportunity to walk by it. Its beautiful
The last scene is so powerful, specially the last last thing, I was crying throughout the last 10 minutes. (and hadn't cried before)
Lootellan Cable's voice was a pleasure to listen to, but his acting was indeed a little off. I guess his entrance soured it for me, but it was pretty good all throghout.
The mics going in and out were sort of annoying!
But overall it was magical!

What a great night of theatre!!! Even if it was on television.
Thank you Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization & Lincoln Center for this amazing opportunity!
Still counted it as a blessing that I saw the show live two years ago. The overture gave me goosebumps and Paul sang his heart out in front of me.
I really enjoyed the broadcast. That was quite a wonderful production.

Ok, I got home like an hour ago and I watched the first sixteen minutes on DVR! And even though I'm already petrified at the prospect of watching Samonsky, I already have goosebumps!
Why is Emile dressed like Indiana Jones? It ruined the last scene for me; I literally laughed out loud when he came out looking like that.
You'd think by all the complaints over on ATC that PBS should be banned from ever showing a Broadway musical again!!
Loved it. I have to say, the filming was a lot better on this than Rent, which was put out on DVD. Go figure. I definitely liked Kelli O'Hara better than Laura Osnes. And, Paulo Szot was better than William Michals, who I saw as an understudy.
For some reason I kept picturing Andrew Samonsky dressed up like Sideshow Bob from the Simpsons, hair and all.
Yep! ATC is bitching as usual.

Because he's wearing Cable's Marine issued jacket which happens to be brown leather because that's the uniform color.
Eris, they did show Luther listening in when he entered for about 4 or 5 seconds.
And I too wish we were able to have heard the entire ENTR'ACTE. Burstein is really good.
I so wanted to post a snide comment in response, but it's just not worth it. I thought this airing fared much better than Light in the Piazza, which seemed to have a lot of sound issues.
And I too wish we were able to have heard the entire ENTR'ACTE. Forget his name but the guy playing Luther is really good.
My main man Danny Burstein!
uncage, it was danny burstein. I think he was hilarious, and really gave Gaines a run for his money, Tony-wise
Danny Burnstein is one of my favorite actors on Broadway. Loved him as Adolpho in Drowsy Chaperone and loved him even more as Billis.
We're only as far as "Bali Ha'i" here on the West Coast. This is fantastic!
I definitely think, had Gypsy and South Pacific not opened the same year, Danny Burstein and Loretta Ables Sayre would've won the Tony in their category.
Thanks! I just couldn't remember his name when I was typing and I have seen him on stage!
I am going to go stand in the corner now!
uncageg, we'll let you out of the corner if you can name his wife without googling.
