Note: just in case, I've programmed my DVR to record an extra 15 minutes beyond the planned end time. Probably unnecessary, but I'd rather play it safe.

Where I live they are actually showing the live broadcast at 8pm, then again at 12am and 6 am, which makes me very happy because I can watch it when I get home from work. Hopefully this will also give a lot of other people with out DVR, Tivo the chance to see the performance as well.

My local PBS stations all have multiple viewings listed as well. I don't have a DVR or TIVO so that pleases me. But if anyone wants to make me a copy...

I wonder what they are going to do with the brief nudity? Focus the cameras elsewhere, probably. Surely we aren't going to see bare behinds on PBS.

It's "Lincoln Center", not "THE Lincoln Center."
It's not "The Times Square" either.
However, in Washington D.C., it is "THE Kennedy Center.".

PBS - at least some PBS stations - used to show nudity. I don't know what the case is anymore, though.

They showed nudity in Passion with Michael Cerveris, Patti LuPone and Audra McDonald. At least the version I saw. Then again, the DC PBS cut out "goddamn" in the Company airing, so we're probably SOL with the nudity as well.

I'm extremely excited, but my VCR and DVD players won't record off of DirecTv. If anyone can help me out, please PM me.

If I'm not mistaken I think it varies from PBS station to PBS station. So it's really 50/50. If I were directing/producing this I would pull the camera back for a wider shot of the stage. That way you're not focusing on the bare bottoms but you still get them and the reactions.
It's one thing to bleep a word but to only show the reactions to something that the audience at home can't see just defeats the purpose of the whole scene.

Thank you for this thread, Eris! The PBS airing completely slipped my mind.
I would be willing to make copies for anyone that can't record it. PM me if interested.

We don't seem to be getting it in San Diego until Saturday night at 9pm.

I'm just taking a shot here, but I'm guessing the stations that are airing it on delay are more likely to be the ones that may censor the nudity. Whereas the channels airing it live as it happens (like the general Tri-state area) may not.
I like the fact they have multiple airings.

This is without a doubt an obnoxious question, but I cannot seem to remember when the nudity happens and in what context. Could somebody jog my memory?

It happens right before "Gonna Wash That Man" when the showers are first rolled out onto stage. There is a man showering in each stall and when they come out they're naked. The see the women are there so they cover up their fronts and run off showing their bare butts to everyone.

I don't remember the frontal nudity, but I do remember the rear.

I've seen the show 4 times from the orchestra and I've never seen their fronts. It's obvious that they're completely naked but they both keep their fronts covered with towels.
