For example, she had that chunk where CharlesAznavour was everywhere in her life, Jim Caruso was around a lot, Billy Stritch was with Liza for another chunk, then Michael Feinstein.
I had some reservations about Liza "producing" his Gershwin Country album. Something seemed very clout to me about that. I recently did a re-listen of Feinstein's interview on Gilbert Gottfried's former podcast, and Feinstein's relationship with Ira Gershwin at the end of his life was nice. I know he and Jerry Herman got along well, and I think the something with Liza to a certain degree. I think he 100% respects these artists, but over the last year he seems to have been going from apassionate fan to an Eve Harrington type, and I don't like that."
Definitely feels very Eve Harrington to me. At this point, he positions himself as symbiotic with her, which a fan would never do. He sits besides her in HER interviews, she defers to him at times. I find it distressing. Liza has her mother's DNA and we know Judy let in men who would take over and run the show. It's just sad to see her legacy end this way, with his name on her memoir. A fan or friend wouldn't have taken any credit. This feels like its for clout.
