Someone made a comparison of about 6 signed books. All have the word Love then Liza THEN a happy face drawn in. It seems crazy that she would spend the time to add love and doodle a happy face to that many books. https://ibb.co/1GQCpLcx

She always signs her name with a happy face. Whether the autographs are hers or autopen, I can't say, but the doodle isn't an indication one way or the other.

Feinstein has never bothered me until the past year. I fell like Liza has always been very "obsessive/loyal" about certain people. For example, she had that chunk where Charles Aznavour was everywhere in her life, Jim Caruso was around a lot, Billy Stritch was with Liza for another chunk, then Michael Feinstein.
I had some reservations about Liza "producing" his Gershwin Country album. Something seemed very clout to me about that. I recently did a re-listen of Feinstein's interview on Gilbert Gottfried's former podcast, and Feinstein's relationship with Ira Gershwin at the end of his life was nice. I know he and Jerry Herman got along well, and I think the something with Liza to a certain degree. I think he 100% respects these artists, but over the last year he seems to have been going from a passionate fan to an Eve Harrington type, and I don't like that.

Any chance Liza might head over to see Billy at the Birdland after the book event on Monday 23rd?

Definitely feels very Eve Harrington to me. At this point, he positions himself as symbiotic with her, which a fan would never do. He sits besides her in HER interviews, she defers to him at times. I find it distressing. Liza has her mother's DNA and we know Judy let in men who would take over and run the show. It's just sad to see her legacy end this way, with his name on her memoir. A fan or friend wouldn't have taken any credit. This feels like its for clout.

Is anyone else reading the book yet? The first chapters have me in tears.
I'm also listening along to the audiobook while reading. At times Liza doesn't read the exact words on the page which makes me question the AI debate a bit. I'm wondering if AI cleaned up her readings? I fear we will never know the total truth.

The audiobook is using the cloning of Liza’s voice made by ElevenLabs. They chose to use her 80s-90s voice instead of her real voice as it sounds today. The Ai generated voice is reading the text of the book and it’s obvious no one ever went back in and fixed and polished things up, which is why sentences end and begin in a weird flow. They literally just hit record, uploaded the file, and that’s it. No proofing to make sure it sounded right, etc. I only could sit thru a few minutes before just giving up. I’ll read the book instead. The audiobook is a cop-out mess.

I'd probably have started the audiobook if I was sure it was real, but I'm gonna wait 'til I pick up my physical copy on March 23rd.
I just remembered that Stephanie J. Block narrated Cher's memoir, and that she also played Liza on Broadway. A missed opportunity, I certainly would have preferred that to AI.

I think including him in the picture on the opening pages was a step too far.
I also think that sometimes he means well, is just caring for her, and that maybe we are too harsh on him. Those moments are fleeting though.

How do they get away with labelling it as the real thing? False advertising.

Before the first chapter even starts, Feinstein claims Liza's only comment about Stephanie J. Block is that "her ass is too big."
I think it's safe to assume she wasn't considered as an option for the audiobook.

Because its an ethical issue, not a legal one. It is still technically Liza.

Barbra convinced me that maybe audiobooks are the best way to "read" a memoir, but now they've been ruined. 😠

Barbra committed and took it to another level with her audiobook. She not only read the memoir but interjected new tidbits she was remembering that she left out of the book AND included her music when she referenced a certain recording plus other great stuff.

Barbra should have won the Grammy for her efforts. Truly the top.

Barbra would never let anybody or anything do anything on her behalf. She is the only one who can do herself justice.

Alright, I accept it. The audiobook is an AI mess.

Crazy how nobody demanded this statement from "Liza™" and yet they still provided it... knowing that it was a flat out lie. They have done nothing but lie about every piece of the production of this book from the autographs to the audiobook for the pursuit of their own profits.

Liza's instagram account reports that it is sold out. Anyone who has been watching ticket sales knows that is not entirely true: https://www.instagram.com/p/DWASj9fD6Jp/

When I looked earlier today, there were VERY FEW tickets available for tonight. I can’t access it now, but I think there were fewer than 20 seats available. I guess we’ll know more later.

Towards the end a lot of comps were given out (I had a friend receive some). Now that I think of it, I guess that technically qualifies as being sold out.... as there are butts in the seats?
